2010
The halycon days where no more was expected of Valve than 1 weapon a day with some achievements thrown in and the odd community map.
there's no way you can have a cash shop with 3 weapons and 18 hats every 6 months.

Sure you can, just make more hats.

Speaking of which, I just noticed that the Infernal Orchestrina and the whatever Bongos aren't in the store. Wonder what's up with that?
also $17 for the balloonicorn what is valve smoking jesus
also $17 for the balloonicorn what is valve smoking jesus
Valve is only high on life; I want to know what the people who bought those Balloonicorns were smoking. Stats.tf says 1411 are not craftable.
1393 (15%)
You don't have to go by uncraftable, you can just use the Item Origin

Why is there that discrepancy between the numbers?

People might have used uncraftable items to craft balloonicorns.

:v:
It makes more sense if you don't think about it.
aren't the random dropped items from making a 20 dollar purchase uncraftable?
aren't the random dropped items from making a 20 dollar purchase uncraftable?
They're craftable these days.
then those extra uncraftable ones are from magic

Are the real ones purchased from the Valve store marked uncraftable, maybe?
Are the real ones purchased from the Valve store marked uncraftable, maybe?
yes, but their also marked as being purchased
and yet there's a number of uncraftable ones that were not purchased, which seems impossible
yes, but their also marked as being purchased

Wouldn't the ones from the Valve store (that is, the Genuine ones from people who bought the real life balloons) be the 199 ones marked as "CD Key"?
And aren't Genuines craftable?

Is anyone else under the impression that tf team are done with decalable items? Perhaps deciding it would hurt performance? Seems like they'll never bring back the painterly filter or toggle on any decals for new items.

ew Moronix
Use grains. Of. Salt.
Let's calculate
1 Geniune Ballonicorn costs 30 bucks.
A genuine ballonicorn is cost 2 earbuds, which each one cost 24-25 mann co keys.
which is 50 keys.
a key it's worth 2.50 dollars.
It's 125 dollars for 50 keys, that means you could have got 95 dollars on profit.
WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE SOLD OUT.
Keys aren't worth $2.50, most people buy them in big lots for about $1.40.

A bit more when you take shipping and taxes into account.
A genuine ballonicorn is cost 2 earbuds, which each one cost 24-25 mann co keys.
It probably should go for about 2 earbuds, but I've seen several go for less than 1.5. The Pyromania hype is fading away.
a key it's worth 2.50 dollars.
As Yukoviz said, more like $1.10-1.50 depending on who you buy from. Lots of traders buy their keys with refined in the game, so they sell them for less than the store when they want to cash out.
WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE SOLD OUT.
Thinkgeek isn't.
But at the end of the day, you're probably not going to profit. (The TF2 trade community seems to have a real aversion to people profiting from any purchases that benefit Valve for some reason.) Let's say you pay ~$38-40 dollars for the balloon, and sell it for 20 keys + a Bill's (since that was the last trade I saw for one). That's basically 28 keys. 28($1.4) = $39.20. You may make a dollar profit depending on shipping costs and taxes.
