I hated Braid, am I a bad person :v:?
you are a terrible person, braid was a work of art.
they dream of ned ballad going outside and playing sports with his friends
reminds me of an old cartoon where a father said his son was a failure it went to a flashback of the dad throwing a football to his son, knocked 3 of his teeth out "son"
you are a terrible person, braid was a work of art.
I have to agree with Simski, yeah it was very artsy, but it didn't pull me in completely and want to replay it like Meat Boy or VVVVVV, at first it was fun, but at the end I was just glad to have finished it.

[editline]10th July 2012[/editline] Not every game CAN have replayability at that. TF2 would've gotten boring years ago if it weren't for the updates, you know?
Well yeah but not every game is meant to have replayability.
If I enjoy a game I sometimes like to replay it though, like Mario games or Half-Life I'll revisit, since the games are still fun and don't get that old. I can't ever see myself going back to Braid though. Also TF2 is a multiplayer game, completely different story there.
I like P.B Winterbottom better than Braid as an artsy time-manipulation 2d puzzle platformer :v:
On the topic of Indies, I mostly know them from Super Meat Boy: Bit.Trip- I own the 3ds colletion and runner on pc, and it's a great series. VVVVVV-Great music, easy to learn but hard to master, and all around fun. (As for the escort mission? Balls to that.) Braid- Only played the demo, really good sounding and pretty,....odd. Runman-.......I really don't know what to say about this one Jumper-Hard, Hard, Hard. I really liked 3. Also, check out Catplanet. Free, and quite interesting.
Guess a person can't correct lies spread about him and have an opinion these days. Fine, Binding of Isaac and VVVVVV are the best games ever made and I should kill myself for not liking them.
oh man I was waiting for you to say that see alright here it goes you're allowed to have your own opinion, dig but BUT if you toss your opinion around like rotten fruit and act like a dick about it, people aren't going to respect you or your opinion wait hold up there's more you could have said "I don't like Binding of Isaac because I don't like the art style and the idea of paying for a newgrounds game doesn't sit right with me" that would have been fine instead you acted like a complete dillweed about it and then called people calling you out liars, AND THEN you tried to play the opinion card way too late down the road so hey here's an idea maybe you should learn to voice your dislike for things without sounding like a retarded 13-year-old having an "I'm right and my parents are stupid" tantrum.
Yes, it just felt like a 2deep4u Super Mario with time-manipulation and violin music. I was bored to tears trying to find any excitement from playing it.
oh lord thank you somebody else thinks this I played it over at a friend's house a while back, I was bored to tears. If there's one thing that 2deep4u indie games need to stop doing, it's using violin music so damn much. Braid could have been pretty fun if it had some better music and more innovative level design. You can have a good story without having a constantly grim violin tune playing and scattering books everywhere. If you're going to deconstruct something by copying its core gameplay, you really shouldn't remove the things that make the original game appealing.
Please, just stop. No one wants a "Major Update speculation V6: CaptainChalky's dumb opinions".

Whatever floats your boat. No one cares about this anymore, so just stop digging it up.
Obviously people still care about it, because people keep bringing it up. Making an ass out of yourself now and attempting to insist that nobody cares about it isn't doing you favors.
anyway ...hows this thursday looking?
anyway ...hows this thursday looking?
Wednesday or Thursday for certain, I'm not 100% on the day but I know it's one of those.
Wednesday or Thursday for certain, I'm not 100% on the day but I know it's one of those.
Nope, it's Tuesday still. You were only off by a day or two though! *pats random on the head*
I'm feeling rather "meh" about the Grodbort packs honestly, there's plenty of other things I'm more interested to see in the game.
I'm feeling rather "meh" about the Grodbort packs honestly, there's plenty of other things I'm more interested to see in the game.
Hopefully the new Dr G packs also come with a handful of community summer weapons coughneo'ssoldierpackandicecreamsandvichcoughcough a total of two weapons there extra on top of the Dr G weapons, I'm sure they can do it.
I just hope the Pierce has new animations. If it uses the needlegun animations I will propably just cry.
every weapon in the packs look like it could be jury-rigged to use existing animations
I'm feeling rather "meh" about the Grodbort packs honestly, there's plenty of other things I'm more interested to see in the game.
Same here. I'm always up for new Medic stuff, but the Scout just got two awesome weapons. Much as I love to play Scout, he's starting to get up there with the Soldier in terms of having a lot of weapons and differing play styles. Still, I hope we see something good for the big 300, if they sneak a good bugfix in today or tomorrow they could have a pretty killer summer event.
i bet when the demoman gets a grodbort pack, it'll be some sort of TESLA KNIGHT
i bet when the demoman gets a grodbort pack, it'll be some sort of TESLA KNIGHT
"Hey guys, how about we make a Grodbort pack for the Demoman?" "Good idea, how about a lightsaber?" "Well you know we could just make some sort of explo-" "A LIGHTSABER IT IS THEN."
Dr. Grordbort only makes guns, so it wouldn't make sense. Might be that he simply doesn't get anything.
Third Degree.
he'd probably get a laser sword and a some kind of ol' timey maritime brass mine layer. Maybe some spacey boots also that have stats. One thing I don't know if it bothers others or not, but that the Dr G items based on real products are oddly symmetrical. The bison has dials and doodads on both sides, and they're identical. To me, it just seems weird. I know in the real models, it's just because it's a mass produced prop from a cheap mold, but as a model for TF2 it feels really artificial. You notice it most with the Bison, but the Phlog suffers from it also (the gas canister is attached to the body twice for some reason) The Saboteur looks like it'll be the same as the Bison in that regard, doodads and dials in identical places on both sides of the model, making the entire item seem very cluttered and artificial. Compare that to the non-symmetrical Manmelter or Cow Mangler, and the you can see where I'm coming from.
That link reminds me, you guys think one of the new Grodbort sets is gonna be called the "Triumph pack"?
Anyway, here's probably what Spy's gun will look like when he gets his pack http://www.wetanz.com/victorious-mongoose-1902a-concealable-ray-pistol/ Probably a crazy looking pocket watch with it, some kind of shirt and overly complicated spy goggles (that will work as a misc, but be set as a hat) [thumb]http://www.wetanz.com/assets/Uploads/drgpostercollectionalrg.jpg[/thumb] There's nothing there that looks like something Demoman could use [editline]10th July 2012[/editline] WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT they made an APERTURE SCIENCE MANMELTER!???!?
I don't think that was ever an Aperture logo Well, it looks the centre of the 40s/50s "Science Innovators" one but on it's own it's just an atom, still maybe a bit of a coincidence with the white/black colour scheme
I don't think that was ever an Aperture logo
looks like an atom
