Sigh. Okay, hey everyone. I haven't even looked at this thread since the moment SFM came out. Has there been anything noteworthy over these past 2 weeks? I need my speculation feed or I'm gonna start experiencing withdrawal from the excitement of speculating on a TF2 update.

several theories ran from stolen box of codes taken from PAX(most unlikely) to some group of scriptkiddies cracking the generator of said codes and reddeming them on the thousands, thus causing a massive case of fraud. i am unsure, but i believe not long ago someone posted either a screenshot or a link to someone offering a stock of 1.4k genuine robot chicket hats being sold at the price of a single refined.

Oh lord, the 3A thing is getting a promo? 3A toys are expensive as hell and sell out very fast, I can't see this going well at all.

The guy with the codes eventually started giving them out for free, evidently, after being banned from Outpost and having his trade closed on /r/tf2trade. It's possible that he had a mail server or something and just made a script to sign up e-mails for the newsletter, since the adultswim.com page didn't have a captcha.

However why wait this long to get something like that in game when practically everyone already has it? Unless Valve sticks a particle effect around it then it’s not going to be much of difference from the original. I am more interested if this summer update will have new features for TF2 then things being reintroduced for nostalgia sakes. I hope this update expands on the Pyromania update and delivers on what’s already has been speculated/hyped (in a unique and clever way).
