Major Update Speculation V5: Somewhere over the rainbow

What a rotten way to die.
What a shame.
I still think we are due for a voice command that warns of a Sniper's presence, things often turn into headshot galores.
Well, or not, as the Machina does that job just fine. Dying of a single bodyshot from time to time as demo or pyro is nothing compared from learning where a Sniper is hidden.
also you can get infinite drops from badge system. just like battle points system in dota 2. (server.dll has some info about that)

this is something I think TF2 really needs to adopt, a system like Dota, on top of the random system we have now

you have the "Sniper!" command, even though people don't really notice those commands

The only class-based responses are "MEDIC!" (which call for a Medic and will tell a Medic to follow you if you are looking at him), "SPY!" (which calls whatever class you are looking at a Spy, or just calls out a Spy), "Activate Charge", "Ubercharge ready" (Medic only), and the cries of being on fire (which aren't really Pyro specific due to the Cow Mangler setting people on fire too).
we really need a SNIPER! voice line

Also Sentry ahead!
I would like an "Uber incoming!" command.

And a "sticky bombs!"

What gives with this sudden influx of theories/rumors/legit info?
It's all very interesting to hear about, but why now? Are we to believe that something is coming sooner rather than later?
Also, it's odd to me that TF2 hasn't really done anything special for the Summer Sale. I'm really hoping that at least one or two little throwaway items (like the sandals and beach misc) will be introduced today.
I would like an "Uber incoming!" command.
A simple "incoming" is enough IMO.
we really need a SNIPER! voice line
A voice line for each class
I really want a "Sniper!" voice line. It feels like it could be a nice way to warn your teammates, much like the Spy command. No other voice command really fits as a proper warning call.
A voice line for each class
Seems a bit unnecessary, and feels like it would be more confusing than helpful.
More voice lines from classes are always appreciated. The more the better.
That said, can we please turn down the frequency of Sniper payload cart comments? HE WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT THE CART.
Given that we already have "SPY!" or "SENTRY UP THERE!", a "SNIPER!" line would make sense, so I support the idea
how about give the Heavy some class specific domination lines
the VA has been brought back for almost every movie shorts - it's a wonder why Valve hasn't done this
Medic needs more lines too
Pyro needs more lines than anyone D:
we really need a SNIPER! voice line
We also need a "RUN AWAY!" ("Back Up!") voice line for when imminent death is going forward.
The current "Go, Go, Go!" is all we have as an alternative, is not enough, and can actually have the detrimental, opposite effect. Instead of running back...they run forward to their deaths.
They would have to be short & sweet lines, for if the voice is too long your teammates may take too long to get the message (and might get kritzkrieged for example).
I already have a voice line for the classes:
Soldier: "TACTICAL RETREAT!"
Scout: "Back up, Back up, Back up!"
Demoman: "No further! Go Back!"
Spy: "Retreat, you fools!"
Sniper: "I'd back up if I were you!"
Engie: "Fellas, baaaack up!"
Medic: "Back up, RIGHT NOW!"
Heavy: "Very Bad, MOVE BAAACK!"
Pyro: [Have to be a mumble that can be easily deciphered as running the hell away, this one will be tough]
Edit: Also, when I use "INCOMING!" as a form of retreat, people don't retreat but instead form a faulty defense and get owned by the incoming force. So "INCOMING" is also not useful for this purpose, though I admit a bit better than "Go, Go, Go!"
How about a generic "WAIT!" command? You see a Sniper bead, you shout "WAIT!" You see stickies, you shout "WAIT!" That sort of thing.
Indeed; there's so many more commands that could be used in TF2; a context-sensitive command for identifying classes could help. Replacing Sentry Ahead! with Target Ahead! could help; that way you could announce that something is there ("Yo there's a Sniper up there!"), plus they could rejigger Incoming! to do a similar thing, announcing that an enemy is approaching ("Bladdy Pyro coming roight at us!").
Another thing that could be done would concern Medic!; a merc could target an ally for Medics to heal ("Get this guy a band-aid, Doc!"/"Doc, this trooper needs meds pronto!"), plus it could double as an instruction to repair Engineer equipment ("Zis machine needs repairs!").
One last thing would be a Priority Target command, possibly exclusive to Scout, indicating which things need destroying, such as targeting machines or dangerous enemies ("Somebody take out dat freekin' Sentry!"/"Uh, dat Sniper ain't killin' himself fellas!").
An upgrade of communications, maybe even including a Portalesque "Pinger tool", would make team coordination much easier.
is there something called apex of jump ingame?
is there something called apex of jump ingame?
Peak of scout's second jump
[editline]17th July 2012[/editline]
Or peak of the Force of Nature forcejump when used after a second jump, one of the two. Pretty sure it's the first, though.
To those coming here because the Mann Co. store is closed, it's just that Steam's having issues (damn you Gaben and your summer sales...)
I really thought there was one

Yeah, the only ones missing them are Heavy, Medic and Pyro. Though Pyro doesn't really need them...
Oh I dunno, some people play as battle Medics still, so...maybe both assist lines and solo lines?
The Medic doesn't need domination lines since he's mainly for assisting. What he needs is assist-domination lines or something.
You can get domination by assists
is there something called apex of jump ingame?
scout uses those lines if he double jumps within 10 seconds of firing, or a small chance when force-a-nature jumping
