For $50? God no, that thing is way overpriced.
I'm back. what's changed since i left to move house about a week ago?
Well, uh, a week passed.
I'm back. what's changed since i left to move house about a week ago?
Community Schema 2.0 was submitted and is currently being reviewed by Valve
For $50? God no, that thing is way overpriced.
It would definitely be over priced if they mass produced these Sandvitches. Unfortunately, they only made 250 of these things. I love the sandvich, for some reason it has that iconic 1960s TF2 look. It's my second favorite item in the game. My most favorite? If they made a 1:1 Ambassador replica I wouldn't even think $300 would be too much.
For $50? God no, that thing is way overpriced.
You can always make a real one and eat it, since all the ingredients are visible. I made a few ones by myself and they were (moist and) delicious :v:
Community Schema 2.0 was submitted and is currently being reviewed by Valve
Does "Being reviewed by Valve" mean that they're actually looking at it or does that just mean you submitted it?
Does "Being reviewed by Valve" mean that they're actually looking at it or does that just mean you submitted it?
it means they are looking at it. They said they were interested in some of the changes, but could not promise all of them will be implemented.
it means they are looking at it. They said they were interested in some of the changes, but could not promise all of them will be implemented.
I don't see why not considering that 90% of the stuff is fixes and the 10% that isn't only serves to make the game better.
I don't see why not considering that 90% of the stuff is fixes and the 10% that isn't only serves to make the game better.
I imagine they won't like the ScotRes improvement and some of the other cosmetic changes might not be worth implementing (like the Sticky Jumper muzzle) Chances are at least half of the items I made paintable get turned on. That's so easy for them, and they sometimes just legitimately forgot or didn't know the items were set up for paint (like the Cold War Luchador).
I imagine they won't like the ScotRes improvement and some of the other cosmetic changes might not be worth implementing (like the Sticky Jumper muzzle)
Those are the only two things that aren't 100% schema, right? Because if they're both done via the schema I don't see why they wouldn't add them considering schema stuff is 100% copying and pasting on their end.
both are 100% schema. Only things that aren't 100% schema are - Original attribute having an actual name - Fixed levels on some items not showing - New style names All are just one or two lines of tf_english, which I also gave them, but told them by no means are those names final or required or anything.
it means they are looking at it. They said they were interested in some of the changes, but could not promise all of them will be implemented.
pls nano on pyro pls pls
pls nano on pyro pls pls
heh, I think I sold the change well. Basically told them upfront I know why it isn't all-class, but Pyro's model is very unique and this is a nice compromise over not letting it be all-class, plus it would enhance the value of the item and it might see some more use.
If it gets in, I've got a friend whose going to be very pleased. He's been holding onto his Unusual Nano for sometime now, waiting for it to be changed to all class.

I hope they reward you in some way for the work you've done
on the steam summer sale group they added an announced with New Objective: Badger the witness New Clue: Tattered flag and fallen sign New P.O.I.: Cyl Think this may mean something?
on the steam summer sale group they added an announced with New Objective: Badger the witness New Clue: Tattered flag and fallen sign New P.O.I.: Cyl Think this may mean something?
I don't know if they mean anything related to TF2, but some people have questioned whether it has to do with LA Noire. From what I can gather, LA Noir has had no update or new achievements. Many think they only typed that out because LA Noir is a part of today's Steam sale and that it has no extra/hidden meaning. Combine this with the new Witcher 2 summer achievement and we are still in speculation territory. Edit: also the Badger joke comes from the Day 6 picture, if you brighten the image there is a hidden badger.
also there was a badger in the last background image
jesus christ how horrifying
also there was a badger in the last background image
yeah here it is brightened up: Again, I'd keep expectations low that there is anything extra involved in this sale. A shame, as I really did like the Summer Camp.
I'm back. what's changed since i left to move house about a week ago?
Well apparently Valve thinks I submitted my paint fixes for an instant community weapon, when I can care less for a wep with increased phong and sparkles. Other everything is swell.
Again, I'd keep expectations low that there is anything extra involved in this sale. A shame, as I really did like the Summer Camp.
Same. Extremely disappointing.
So I toured Valve yesterday. (Yes, again. Consider it a perk of working a block away from them.) Not much to report on the TF2 front, except that one of the guys on the TF2 team, Chris, is keeping to his new year's resolution of wearing a different hat to work every day. On the shameless bragging front: [sp]Thanked Erik Wolpaw for the tour he gave my girlfriend and I 6 months ago, and got to say hi to Ashley Burch, too. (of Hey Ash Whatcha Playin and Borderlands 2 fame)[/sp]

I've been holding onto my unusuals for god knows how long and would finally like to trade them away.
valve would hopefully never, ever, EVER do that having a paintable item which covers nearly his entire face would be such a big "fuck you" to readability
But the anger and desert marauder are paintable.
But the anger and desert marauder are paintable.
Not to mention the Viel, And that ghost recon thing!
So is this a guaranteed promise that it will never go all-class? I've been holding onto my unusuals for god knows how long and would finally like to trade them away.
chances are, no, it won't be made all-class. It covers up far too much of the class's heads and makes them all look the same.
Did they make you sign an NDA? If not, could you tell if they were working on anything interesting? At this point I can't imagine anything but the TF2 cabal consisting of a few guys staring out the window wistfully as another guy plays with a paddleball in just the most depressed and noncommittal fashion ever.
chances are, no, it won't be made all-class. It covers up far too much of the class's heads and makes them all look the same.
Because the nano makes the rest of the class invisable, duh
Because the nano makes the rest of the class invisable, duh
There are a number of situations where the only thing visible on a class is their head. If their entire head shares the same shape, that's a bit of a problem when it comes to identifying which class it is. The horseless headless horsemann's head, monoculus hat, and halloween masks are time-restricted and are gimmick items in the first place, so they aren't taken seriously in the first place.
