They also said they'd fix the loch n load once.
When?
I still think the Manmelter should had been a laser gun instead of a flare. Penetration, low damage, useless against buildings. Still, Bison/Pomsom crits are something to be afraid of, so this may not be quite balanced.
No Cream Spirit? I'd be frickin' heartbroken. Not that they'll ever bring back paint for it anyway.
In the heat of battle and the many desert locations in the game, you probably will have a difficult time telling what team the laser would be from and by then it would either hit you, damaging you or you would have blocked a team mate's laser.

I never see the lasers anyway. :v:

Not to mention not a single rocket in the game is team colored so it's not like the difference would be all that earth-shattering

A crit rocket is team coloured!
A crit rocket is team coloured!
And by the time you see it you're dead because what good Soldier fires rockets from across a map?
Would it be possible for a cosmetic item to change the blood of the wearer, like how Pyroland replaces it with balloons?
If so, the duffel could have a cool money effect without looking like the intel paper trail.
What if we got "weapon paints" or something like that? Colors that are a bit more subtle than IN-YOUR-FACE-PINK and FUCK-YOU-PURPLE.

And don't forget the award-winning UP-YOURS-NEON-GREEN
And don't forget the award-winning UP-YOURS-NEON-GREEN
And who could possibly forget SHIT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH-WHITE

But being able to easily see projectiles is good too. The laser weapons are nearing the threshold of invisibility, and having Cream Spirit ones flying around in a desert map makes them even less visible.

Might work well with a decent selection of subtle/team coloured paints.
You'd have to set the distinction though like having them named "varnishes" or something like that.

That reminds me; They should also make a not-so-white white. They already made a not-so-black-black so why not.
I'm not so sure if Valve would approve the idea of paint-able weapons.
I mean, the weapons are supposed to be easily distinguishable even from a distance, painting everything pink/lime green could make weapons harder to distinguish from each other which could cause an unintended advantage to people who paint their weapons.

Peculiarly Drab Tincture
[editline]20th July 2012[/editline]
I wish After Eight was colored more like the default colored Soldier's Stash, its green tint can ruin some looks.

This is not white.

But the color's sole reason to existance is it's resemblance to the chocolote. What you're striving for is a whole other paint.

Which reminds me.... they sell After Eight in a store here in Czech.
The paint or the chocolate? :v:

Well yes, but the difference between After Eight and whatever dark grey colour that won't be added into the game would be so insignificant that Valve wouldn't see it fit to add into the game.

It's still close to white, and looks more fitting along the original color scheme since none of the original colors on the classes looked completely clean.

I would rather have a color that resembles an artstyle fitting black than chocolate, and "a distinctive lack of hue" is not a black that fits the artstyle.
I call Lab Coat "Poor Man's White"
I use it when I want white but can't afford it lol
"An extraordinary abundance of tinge" just looks fucking awful to me, it's what lime green is to zephania's greed, it's a color that's not even trying to fit in, it stands out like a sore thumb and it's popular because it stands out and because it's pricy.
Peculiarly drab tincture is to me the white color that fits the artstyle. Here's some examples I got from TF2 galleries:

Do you guys REALLY think this color doesn't look like white?

My Ol' Geezer is painted with that color. It's one of the few times when paint improves the hat itself. The hat's story is even better, since I got it in a 1:1 trade with someone. It was nice to know people like those still exist.
It really does look much whiter in the game than on the paint can. I still wish it was just a tad bit whiter.

In all those pictures, the characters wear whiter white than their hat.
So no it doesn't look like white to me.
I really love these ambient colors. They go so smoothly with the game. It's a shame we got shit like Purple, pink and lime.
who paints their ten gallon the same color as the ten gallon's default? Drab is practically default on the Ten Gallon

It's still noticeable

I guess that's a valid complaint, but I still think drab tincture is much more gentle on the eyes than the near illuminating white of the abundance of tinge.

The chocolate, of course.
