I remember back in the days I used to trade my crates for scrap. That was neat and will never happen again.
Unfortunately, they'll probably still rationalize it as being still 1 refined and a reclaimed at secondary market prices (last time I checked, it was 60 cents/refined).
Like how they somehow made the paints that were on sale even more expensive than when they were before it.
Man I wish I would be able to work for valve, but I have no applicable skills :saddowns:, and does it seem like Valve is pretty much done with their own Development of TF2 for now, with the grand finale Meet the Pyro? :v:
Nope. They said on their blog that they still have plans for TF2 even though all the MTTeam shorts are done, and both Foundry and Doomsday's cryptic hints are still unresolved.

This is, what, the second time we've seen Valve beta-testing this koth_soho map? Idk. No images leaked of it? I haven't seen any...
Fixed Replay/SourceTV clients getting kicked when quickplay servers hibernate
Nothing big?
Little fix update, nice to see those prices dropping, but why the Cozy Camper, the actual useful one-off workshop item, still at 10 bucks?
oh god 99c name tags that's certainly slackened my bowels.
- Fixed Replay/SourceTV clients getting kicked when quickplay servers hibernate
OH MY GOD QUICKPLAY SERVERS ARE SECRETLY RAN BY BEARS
I think I was just whining about name tag prices on here! Hooray for bitching!
Just me or did the item server go down?
Oh wow, ALL paint got its price chopped in half. Seems the only tools not slashed were gift wrap and backpack expanders (and obviously keys) The price changes are better than expected

it's probably to get prices closer to Dota2's pricing system for tools
Were After Eight and Mann's Mint added to the store?
but gift wrap bp expanders and keys are the only tools I want
I think that's the point. Supply and demand, people want something the price stays the same or goes up, if people don't want something as much as the other thing prices go down. The only difference with TF2 is that I can't see Valve raising prices, just dropping them.
the economist probably had something to do with it. Right off the bat TF2'a name tags were 5x more expensive than Dota2's. This meant right off the bat, TF2's name tags were worth more than Dota2's, and this is something they really wanted (and needed to change). Now they're the same prices, so we'll have to see if the price dips down from the refined it's at now. Will people, frustrated by needing a refined, go and just buy a name tag, thus lowering the price of them in metal? I think they will. 99 cents is impulse buy territory. Paint is probably for a similar reason. The weekly workshop items are now priced comparably with their peer items. They started high and then came down, probably because they had no major update to boost their sales.
go to facepunch, learn economy things i will not spend a single cent in education anymore

They can't have all prices drop at the same time without crashing the economy but doing it gradually might allow them to pull things down to DOTA2 levels.
