Knock yourself out
I'm trying to figure out where they could fit the tobor update in, considering we've got the saxxy still left to go. Then in October is Screamfortress and then December it's Smissmass.
I can see Screamfortress being MVM to be honest.
so I was thinking, they could really make this community bug fix thing a legit big update.
Day 1:
Contributor's Badge: An item given to those who contribute non-item fixes. Sparkles
Contributor's Stamps and Stamp Bracelet: A rubber band charm bracelet thing. Buy "Contributor Stamps" and when you play on a server with the people you bought stamps for are currently playing on, the band drops stamps to show how much of a fanboy you are.
i-ghost's response rules pack + community made taunts for a few weapons
Updated workshop to allow animations, and script fixes with a new category.
Day 2:
Community Schema 2.0
Various community paint fixes, including paintable Aspect, Bonk Boy, and the fixes others have done for older items (plus the new paintable items Schema 2.0 makes)
Crit Glow Fix teaser with a crit boosted Apoco-Fists heavy next to my name on the schema credits, clicking it links to the submission
Day 3:
New styles and item updates!
Updated Dalokahs Bar!
Updated Airborne Armaments set!
New styles for the Grimme Hat, Rogue's Col Roul, Pugilist's Protector, Granadier's Softcap, Killer's Kabuto, Le Party Phantom, Western Ware and the Procedure Mask
Amputator and Crossbow LODs
Day 4:
Shipping day + full changelog!
...
Now I really want this :(
...or we would just get a one day Hatless Update 2.0 :P
a broken mess of an update that took months to get sorted out?
Or we could just let the community make an awesome update.
I should see if a contributor wants to help me with the contributor badge and bracelet. I like that idea a lot, and I think Valve might take it up if I sold it well enough :x
I meant in the sense of at least trying to fix bugs, but yeah, the community update would be leagues better. Items like the map stamps for non model/map contributors seems like an interesting idea.

Little optimistic don't you think ned?
I've been informed my design is boring, and Pie Tony will be making it better when it isn't 1:30am for him

well, too late, Tony and I are going to work on a Bug Fixer's Badge and a Big Fixer's Fanboy Charm Bracelet and the concept of "charms" instead of stamps for bug fixers

I hope that they give Engineer the short laughs that everyone else got from ighost's pack.
I'd really love a performance improvement. I have a friend thaat used to play tf2 at 60 or more fps, and with the following updates, he barely gets 15 fps and tf2 is not fun without him :(
Quakecon starts next thursday

You forgot the Loch 'n' Load.
now even you are forgetting it :(
Why did this thread blow up all of a sudden ?

Need a modeller?
You forgot the Loch 'n' Load.

as far as I know, there's no community fix for it on the workshop
[editline]25th July 2012[/editline]
Need a modeller?
have to see what Tony whips up when he stops being a scotsman and sleeping at this hour! But most likely, yes, since neither him nor I know how to model.
Was sending some requests around, and someone dangled something about an 'exciting tf2 project' in a return PM that seemed too juicy to resist sharing.

Hello,
I was recently considering changing my forum name to my actual in game name, for recognition and because to be honest, this name is silly. However, I also noticed that in the rules, it states not to create alternate/backup accounts.
My question is if there is any way to go about changing accounts without risking an infraction or ban. I doubt that my forum name can be changed, so is there any way my old account can just be locked, or any other alternative?
Thanks in advance.
Hey!
Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier! I was busy working on an exciting TF2 project! (The Witcher 2 might have had something to do with it as well.)
It seems you got your issue resolved. Is that correct?
Another Witcher 2 promo?

Witcher 2 Robots?
this has to be the single most boring promo page Valve has done since the Hatless update...

I'm sure he means that playing The Witcher 2 also contributed to the reason he couldn't get back to him earlier.

lol acting like the l4d1 campaigns haven't been part of l4d2 for the last year
L4D stuff for SFM though, that's cool

not really.. its pretty interesting to look at other than the crap we've already had on PC for years
Seems like a pretty good update though.
there is nothing new in this update that hasn't been in the game for a year now, other than all mutations which was an incredibly easy mod to install.
There were things that were promised for this update that never happened. No achievements, no massive animation and sound fixes, no new survival maps for the L4D campaigns, nothing that we were told would ship besides what we had already had for a year, if not more.
I see that No Mercy isn't mentioned on the update page.
In other L4D news, SFM updated with L4D2 survivor models just now. Doubtful we'll get anything for TF2 at this point.
I see that No Mercy isn't mentioned on the update page.
No Mercy shipped with either The Passing or The Sacrifice. I forget which.

Ah, I assumed it was part of this update as all the others are.

SFM is getting better though.
