how did valve manage to get meet the pyro up but a half hour plus after it comes up they still don't have the actual pyromania page up yet

I'd say it's a given we get the Pyro dream world items.
And I'm on the fence as to whether or not the flamethrower should actually spit rainbows... I like that idea where it's rainbows in first person, fire in third.
I also expect we'll get a taunt that spits out rainbows and candy.
I also expect the item code will unlock something that deploys a Balloonicorn in the spawn room ala the Football manager ball.
And then there's the chance of some extra stuff like misc cosmetics, weapons, or even a map or two.
Oh man, think of all the fucking possibilities once ALL source games are added to SFM. Amazing videos with Dota 2 characters + props, Left 4 Dead, Half Life stuff.
The quality of Source engine based machinima is going to fucking skyrocket.

Lovely. And... disturbing.
I'm glad Valve decided to go the route of a simpler theme. I think Meet the Medic is by far the most masterful in terms of filmmaking-- amazing action and perfect pacing, but Meet the Pyro is just plain goofy fun. I liked it. I like others a little more, but I definitely liked it.

I think its logical that they wait to show Day 3; I just got to see the pyromania front page once, and then it failed again. Give it a few hours, I'm sure it'll appear then.
I'm cringing as I write this because I don't want to be one of those people that jump to the conclusion that its the end of the world when something is less than stellar. My mind can't help but wonder the cause for this massive quality drop though. We spent six months waiting and I assumed that they were making Meet the Pyro for at least three of those months, but this whole update looks like something cobbled together with spare time. Damn me for being such a naysayer but I can't help but think that, well, maybe Valve is just done with Team Fortress 2. I suppose they figure that with the last Meet the Team done and the Workshop steadily feeding them quality weapons and hats, they no longer even have to model for the game, so they're pretty much just going to close up shop. If we're lucky, someone will probably ship out a new hat once a week like they have been doing, but if the pattern holds than it looks like Team Fortress 2 will at the least be receiving less attention than we're used too. I'm hurt Valve but I can accept it, its been a good run, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
