Major Update Speculation V5: Somewhere over the rainbow

This video sparked some interest toward tf2 a little for me.
I'll probably try the new gamemode 1 hour and then leave again, unless they somehow put 2 gamemode in one update where one is mann vs machine, and then it'd be an interesting gamemode that'd inspire me to play it.
I saw the whole video as just a metaphor for how the pyro enjoys what he does, not necessarily how he ACTUALLY sees it. I think that yeah, he sees the Heavy's blood splatter all over the place when he splits his head open with a fireaxe, but he gets the same enjoyment doing it that someone would have from giving a lollypop to a baby.
In another example, at the end when he's walking off, doing a little skip away from the soldier, then it cuts to him simply walking away, the skipping is just how he feels about what he's done. He knows, I'm pretty sure, that he's murdered and burned everything, but he doesn't have any remorse doing so.
The idea that that's how he actually sees everything (sparkly rainbows and kitten farts) is pretty entertaining, but I don't think that's actually the case, nor does it make sense that someone would rage about how it was portrayed. This video wouldn't be nearly as disturbing as it is now, if it was all just death and gore. You just have to think about it for a moment instead of taking it at face value like all of SPUF is.
The happy land scenes serves to convey that the pyro is delusional. It's a common filmmaker trope. Everything else is just dark slapstick humor. I mean really, can any human be realistically moving nor as much kneel like the soldier did with his spine having a gap in between?

I hope those bongos are going to be a misc!
They look great!
If the new weapons have bubbles or anything that isn't supposed to kill someone irl I'm not playing tf2 anymore.
That'd be fucking stupid, but I can always ignore it or just download a skin or something...
I think Valve realises how big of a shitstorm it would be if the Pyro LITERALLY shot rainbows to kill people.
Like I said before, I defend the Doctor's Dapper Topper for chrissakes, but that'd be going a bit too far for me.
The real question is... what is the hat item for the Pyro fantasy set?
If I do have criticism about Meet the Pyro. It would be the choice of music, "Do you believe in Magic?" is one of the most hackneyed songs around and is near synonymous with Disney though I suppose that is why they chose it. My other major gripe is that all the classes are afraid of the Pyro. In the other videos, It makes sense for them to be worried.
Meet the Medic: Medic has an ubered Heavy
Meet the Spy: Spy takes them out one by one like a monster movie
Meet the Sniper: Sniper picks them off from a distance
Meet the Demo: Team is not scared of Demo but dies to a sticky trap
Meet the Engie: Engineer has a level 3 taking them out slowly
I forget how Solider, Heavy, and Scout kill the classes in their videos but to have 8 highly trained Mercenaries on a team be afraid of a single one was kinda too big of a logical gap.

Are you guys just dumb?
Who cares if it's a rainbow or not, it's a GAME.

Doesn't look like he gets one

So which are your favorite TF2 weapons for killing people in real life? Mine has to be the Backscratcher.

Keep in mind the entirety of Blu team was unarmed, presumably not on duty and therefore not expecting Pyro to show up, and in a town made entirely out of old wooden shit.
They could have had nine Heavies and still be scared.

I was joking with the quitting I will still play this darn game but not as much as in the old vanilla days.
i don't see anything

They weren't worried in those.
Meet the Medic: They run straight at the ubered heavy like lemmings
Meet the Spy: The only one who seems impressed is spy really
Meet the Sniper: I don't even remember any alarm, only chaos from already being hurt
Meet the Demo: Team is not scared of Demo but dies to a sticky trap - truth, this doesn't seem to help your point though?
Meet the Engie: They also run straight at it like lemmings.

Demo has a Grenade launcher, soldier has a Rocket launcher and Engineer tries to build/builds a sentry.
Doesn't look like he gets one
I personally hope he doesn't get any of those items. If he does, I hope they're restricted to only some certain event, like halloween. It just feels too over the top for me.

It's mostly because Pyro is just down right sinister, the fact that he doesn't talk feeds those thoughts, all of them are a bit on the crazy side, but Pyro is more psycho than crazy, that's why they're afraid.
I'm trying to figure out how Pyro sees smacking somebody with the Volcano fragment in wonderland.

i'm glad someone got that.
Do you even know what speculation means?
Yes, I do. I wanted to paste link to that stupid shit about how Pyro is methapor for gay fighting for their rights, but someone removed it already. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing agaist that fight, I just think it's really stupid to think that Valve would be thinking about it making Meet the Pyro.

yea, I havn't watched the other Meet the Team videos in a while. I will just assume that Meet the Pyro takes place during round-end humilation to handwave my concerns

Fuck that, I'm marching in battle with my pet balloonicorn, rainbow thrower, bubblemaker, and lollipop axe.
