The sad part about Black Dynamite promo's is that Spy would end up with his giant ass revolver. unless they're willing to do some really impressive improvising with demo mans hand animations, and considering we've yet to see a fix for the Loch n Load, having him have a revolver that shoots explosive bullets...Bot happening. I love everything else though. Though I secretly want a Dale gribble hat and Galsses set for Sniper. [sp] that would just be hilarious knowing a certain conspiracy theory with a sniper involved[/sp]
black dynamite's revolver's an easy one you see this is a different universe from TF. the revolver is so big that it's pretty much the size of the pipe bomb launcher. hey there you go pipe bomb launcher reskin oh dear.

I think anyone who complains about the 'art style' is fucking just..fuck Its not the art style The style of tf2 is the same, its not like these items are 8-bit or water color they're fucking on the correct art style You can argue that they don't fit the theme of tf2 sure but fuck stop saying art style they still fit the style

People dislike them because they're yet more cosmetics that don't add any meaningful content. Even shitty weapons are better then cosmetics because they actually add depth to the game. People love the shit out of those mini-major updates for game promotions, look at how annoyed everyone was when the Hitman games didn't get any new stat weapons.

[/B][/QUOTE] i like how every example here is a hat and do not cover any of the actual imporant visual indentifiers or anything like that why don't you post about the items that go on the body that draw attention away from the general silhouette, or how these break the "color scale" philosophy as i'll call it for now: where the colors tend to compliment the body, such as how the brightest and most standout colors on the body and torso in particular are all directed towards the center mass, where the weapons are held? or how the torso and overall body make up for roughly 90% of the silhouette in general? if you wanted to, you could argue the engineer's default hardhat is breaking their philosophies from the get-go: it's yellow, it's the most vibrant and bright color on the engineer's character, and due to that, the eyes are instinctively drawn towards it first, unlike the bandolier on the heavy, which are compromised mostly of yellow, but due to being on his torso, guide the eyes towards the intended area of identification/readability, that being his torso/chest. or maybe a legitimate argument pertaining more on the subject of hats/paints, such as neon green and pink paints actually drawing the players attention away from the key points of the body, by pulling the center of attention to the brightest colors (them) that don't actually identify the team the person is on? or how pink hats are pulling the center of attention away due to the brightest color being situated at what is one of the most unreliable parts of the silhouette to identify the character, thus breaking their philosophy by causing that center of attention to shift away from the intended area, and as a result away from the items that provide the rest/the bulk of the readability (the team colors shirts, the weapons, etc)? there's quite a lot of the idea of the artstyle since it encompasses so much, but in honesty, while valve do break some rules on the outside of it, they still keep a lot of the original philosophies intact to a degree, or at least a majority of the aspects that make those philosophies up.
