I was mainly talking about all of the normal randomly obtained hats. But yeah, they have gotten rid of most of the jealousy aspect.

Seriously, hats don't affect the game at all. I don't see why you're all getting wound up about this, no one bitched about the borderlands preload-only guns, and those actually affected the game
You don't HAVE to pre-order. They just thought that because you're waiting to play it and you've already paid, they gave you this to tide you over until the game comes out.
Whatever, if the demo convinces me the game is worth money, then I'll be pre-ordering too.
