Hats aren't worth two hats or less than one. It's the people's fucked up demands.

What I am talking about however, is the current market value. In general the majority of owners of hats for the purposes of trading place different values on hats simply based on demand and supply. If you look at the medic mask for example, the percentage of people who own one are about the same as the percentage of people who own a trophy belt. However, the mask is certainly not worth a trophy belt as the owners of medic masks would be unwilling to trade one for a trophy belt, simply because medic masks are demanded a lot more compared to the trophy belt.
