What's a Vintage Towering Pillar of Hats worth?

I understand when you guys say that paint and name-tags add value to a hat, IF SOMEBODY WANTS IT SPECIFICALLY though. It's annoying when you're trading a hat, somebody offers you for YOUR hat, throws in a painted hat, and says "More plz". I didn't ask for the paint and the new name.

To be honest, I don't see a reason in trading 1 specific hat for 2 or even 3-4 other hats nomatter how rare it is. I'm not saying a hat is a hat 'cause that would be a lie; I'm saying that a hat is worth a hat, just as a few other reasonable people in this thread implied. I see that you might wanna loose many items for a hat that you really want, but in the end you WILL regret that one trade when the you got ripped off. You people need to get reasonable around these unfair trades that you are doing, IMO. Good day.
