I could ask for 5 buds for my Concheror. It doesn't mean that anyone will actually BUY it though.
That's because the concheror isn't rare at all. And it's not going to dissapear from the store/craft/drop system in 2 weeks either.
dont worry about the price going to become a sky scraper. Just like the "Dirty hats" Becoming "rare" Didnt change a thing.
I wonder when they'll let vintages onto the market. Seems like a pretty safe thing to add, the vast majority of vintages are Valve made items, and they already allow Genuine items contributors made, giving no money to the contributors who are losing (right now a number of genuines are cheaper than their unique counterparts)
Haha, Nice joke, valve.
That's because the concheror isn't rare at all.
There are 103,708 Fancy Fedoras out there. They aren't rare either. What's your point?
I wonder when they'll let vintages onto the market.
I am a Vintage weapon collector and i would really love to see this one day.

You said that traders would be asking for 5 buds for a single Soldier's Stash because they stop dropping etc. I said that it won't happen because there's plenty of them and that's exactly what will happen. I still don't get what your point is.
ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck wath hell is this shit...is this a sick joke?!?! The Best Items that appered on TF2 ...they wath to get rid of them. this is Bo Shit economic strategy
I made one thread on Steam forum, that hat retire is not the only problem : http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=33790038&posted=1#post33790038 . and yeah, I dont know why browser page in mann co store changed to Dota 2 - store durning error I got, but if they will change mann co in game and online stores in Dota 2 in-game and Online stores, I can say that they just digging a hole for their grave.
retiring community items is the equivalent of canceling a contract with the contributor if community items are ever on their way out, we'll eventually just be waiting until we're killed off unless there's retaliation, then it's a sort of "you can't fire me, i quit" situation
hey guys lest not play tf2 for 2 weeks and tell every body to not play tf2 for 2 weeks lets see wath they will do
hey guys lest not play tf2 for 2 weeks and tell every body to not play tf2 for 2 weeks lets see wath they will do
It will not help. Remember that community group that offered players to play Half-life 2 together, to make VALVe show at least one screenshot of Half-life 2 Episode Three (or just Half-Life 3) ? A lot of people played, but VALVe didnt do anything. Honestly, they turned in greedy bastards and assholes like other companies nova days. At first Dota 2 (like Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and upcoming add-on for it, and WOW is not enough for Blizzard fans), after - that little "Piston" console that will cost a lot of money, they are even planning to make another console (or their new PC, as I heard, I also can show proof screens), and a lot of other stuff and now they're making FUCKING COUNTER-STRIKE ONLINE 2 (Its not a joke, its true) !!!

Of course they're going to be making a lot of different things at once, are you seriously saying that you're mad because the TF2 team and the DOTA team aren't working on half life 3?

We have no power of what actually happens to our babies...
i'm ok with this as long as they only do this to hats, tf2 died for me anyways

The piston "console" is not theirs, they are only supporting it, which is why it will cost so much. Valve's steam box probably wont cost as much as the piston unlike what you are thinking, I could be wrong though. Counter-Strike Online 2 is (as far as to my knowledge.) an F2P counter-strike made for the asian gaming audience mainly by Nexon, and probably wont see a western release. I dont get why people are thinking all Valve cares about is money nowadays.
and i never trade with strangers, only with IRL friends my automerge
hmmm I understand this world is full of idiots
Honestly, I think its ignorant to call fans of Half-Life idiots, they wanted to show VALVe how much they love Half-life series. I honestly do not understand why they decided to make Dota 2. Especialy because first one is just a mod for Warcraft 3. Yeah, they just want money from cosmetic items. VALVe going into the really deep shit.

Team Fortress was even a mod for another game, just like DOTA 2, and they got the mod team to move over to Valve. The whole making mods into full games thing isnt new to Valve at all, and in my opinion, good. As far as cosmetic item money goes, most of the community item money goes to the contributors for TF2 and Dota 2, and does it really matter if they are making money off of Cosmetics? I mean, it would be a problem if they were making money from weapons (Which they are, but you are able to get them much more easily by simply playing the game, which i see no problem with.), but I dont think earning money through cosmetics really matters.
Even Kotaku agrees with it.
Whoah! Pulling out the big guns!

Its a series of the classic games we love and respect. So much time passed after release of Episode Two and people begged VALVe to show at least something. While they just keep spamming with dumb ideas, Dota 2 is not even their own product, it was a mod for Warcraft 3 and after that pc-console. The main problem that they nova days is making ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that fans want them to do or just asking to. For example, nobody asked them to spam us with hats and after delete them from history (thanks at least for not deleteing them from bacpack and let people trade them !), nobody asked THEM to make Dota 2, nobody asked them to make that pc-console and no-fucking-body asked them to make Counter-Strike Online 2. They just spit in face of their community. [editline]11th January 2013[/editline]
What if they don't have anything to show or have a good reason to not do so? Like what? what
Yep, actually Counter-Strike Online 2 is developed bye Nexon Corporation like first one, but they need VALVe's assist and permission to do that. YEAH ! Nothing new or good ! THEY HAD A LOT OF GOOD CONCEPTS FOR EXAMPLE ! Thanks at least for artist who made them and posted on her twitter or facebook. So much goddamn time passed and they dont have even any news. You think its okay ? Yeah, Dota 2 will be free, but it will have cosmetic items, which A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL BUY OF COURSE ! They turned in money suckers and community face spitters, like many other companies nova days. They dont give a shit about that, what fans want, they give a shit only about that what they want.
When were Half Life fans ever called idiots by Valve? Do you have any proof that they were? Ask otowon_gaby about that, why he called them "idiots". And what ? But look, most of bugs and glitches in games still work and not only in TF2 (that standsitting Breen in Half-Life 2 for example), they just keep spamming with promos and hats. Its just spitting in community faces. Even though they cant do everything what we want, they need to understand, that we love and respect them, WE buy their games, WE buy those fucking cosmetic items, WE helping them to be good and best. And I want to ask, did they made at least something good for us ? Seriously, just turn on your brain at least for a few minutes.

What your saying honestly does not make much sense and just because there are some minor bugs (which i have never seen a stand sitting breen in HL2, btw) doesnt mean they arent listening to fans, hell, they still update their older games from time to time, that doesnt mean that "they dont care" now, does it?
But look, most of bugs and glitches in games still work and not only in TF2
what the fuck does that even mean
they just keep spamming with promos and hats.
They fix bugs ALL THE TIME. They add new weapons, maps and gamemodes too. How much more do you want?
And I want to ask, did they made at least something good for us ?
Yes. They made us a damn fine game that keeps on giving. It's not their fault if you're an ungrateful little baby.
