But look, most of bugs and glitches in games still work and not only in TF2
my brain hurts from reading that
OH GOD imagine if team captain is retired, burning is gonna be sold for 9000$+

for some reason
what the fuck does that even mean
They fix bugs ALL THE TIME. They add new weapons, maps and gamemodes too. How much more do you want?
Yes. They made us a damn fine game that keeps on giving. It's not their fault if you're an ungrateful little baby.
You know, maybe I sound like a whiny kid, but what I am saying is fact. MATE ! TF2 IS 2007 YEARS FUCKING OLD ! Yes, thanks to them fro MvM and etc. But anyway, TF2 is 2007 years old, time to focus on other games, not only on it. And I am talking about situation right now.
Also same I can say about you too, I had read your previous posts and everything you do is telling everyine that we are cybabys and etc. We have a right to say our opinions. We cant be okay with everything they say and do. If they will delete Half-life 1 from Steam and other old games you will say "Oh fuck you crybabys, its just an old game, stop whining about it" ? People have different tastes and opinions, some people really like something and get used to something, yes, I agree that this is just pixels, but anyway. Stop thinking that you're really important figure and you're always right here. Yes, people can argue with me and disagree with me. But you just came here and keep shoving down our throats, whats a crybaby we are and etc. And you know, better to be a crybaby, than pathetic asslicker, who makes everything to protect his favourite company.
my brain hurts from reading that
Well, by "work" I meant, that they still not fixed. Like some really annoying bugs in TF2, for example, I had seen video footages, with that respawn block.
MATE ! TF2 IS 2007 YEARS FUCKING OLD !
2007 years old? I didn't know TF2 was that old.
While they just keep spamming with dumb ideas, Dota 2 is not even their own product, it was a mod for Warcraft 3.
Dota 2 is there own product, but I'm to assume your talking about it's prequel.
A majority of Valve's game aren't there original ideas, Team Fortress started as a mod for Quake, Valve saw potential in this and hired the Quake Team Fortress crew.
Counter Strike started as a user made mod using Valve's Half Life's GoldSrc engine, Valve saw potential in these guys, hired them.
Portal started as something completely different, Narbacular Drop, Valve saw potential in these guys too and thus hired them to work on Portal.
Even Alien Swarm started as a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 before Valve hired the guys.
Also there was a lot of appraisal and want for Dota 2, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean nobody liked it.
Does it really matter if they arent really releasing games as long as they are releasing huge, free updates to their games? What your saying honestly does not make much sense and just because there are some minor bugs (which i have never seen a stand sitting breen in HL2, btw) doesnt mean they arent listening to fans, hell, they still update their older games from time to time, that doesnt mean that "they dont care" now, does it?
You know, for example as I sayed before, that old bug with Breen I mentioned, is still not fixed. Portal 2 for me and some other people, still crashing for no reason. Steam after big picture update, keeps crashing for a lot of people too. Plus as some people confirmed, their bug fixes is not even working. For example, people reporte about that Demoman's smiley face is missing when you trying to do a taunt with grenadelauncher, and look now, that smiley face is still not visible.
Part of me thinks they will just retire Valve-made hats, they'd get a pretty bad rep for just removing a random contributors hat from the game.

Okay, so you're trolling. Got it. Carry on with your master plan, dude.

I didnt sayed that nobody liked it. I sayed that nobody asked them to do it. Of course I am really happy for people who glad that they're developing Dota 2, but I personally dont like it. I agree with you, but thats not what I really meant. I know that I sound like a dick a bit or whiny bitch, but I just really dont like that situation, especially deleteing hats for no reason, yes, a lot of people have them, but not ALL, plus some more players will come and I feel sorry for them, cause some "trader" may fool them and sell one of these 9 hats for a very big price.

Am, I agree that I just hurried a bit and wrong here, I just made mistake, I meant it was released i year 2007, but you know, that "troll" insult is really not effective and stupid. I'll also add, that this is not mine problem, that you're just pathetic moron and idiotic over-fan, if you dont like us and that thread, and think that we are crybabies, because we're sad and dont like that hats will be gone from drop, craft and purchase - go away and finde another thread, nobody likes "cool" and "smart" people like you, who keep shoving his shit down throats of others.
I'm going to go out on a whim and say English isn't your first language
I'm going to go out on a whim and say English isn't your first language
Yep, true, well actually I am not that bad, but when I hurry to write something, I am making really horrible mistakes, so sorry, shit happens :)
Well, the only positive thing I can see from all this is the good ol' crates with the 9 hats in the list.
I hope people buy them because I have a pile of those worthless things :v:
[sp]I hope keeping those things will pay off[/sp]
Also, I'll add, that I kinda agree, they're just pixels and nothing really important. But personally, me and most of people like them, and these 9 hats is history of TF2, plus as I sayed before, some people dont have ALL of them and also new players will come and they will want these hats, but sadly, some highballers, can understand that they are new and overprice that item, thats why I am really negative about that idea, plus there is really nothing really good in it, its jus stupid and pointless. And also seeing that they will probably retire more items in future, is really bad too.
How much would a vintage demoman's fro go for these days? I'd never sell my first hat, but it'd be good to know
I fear there's nothing we can do about it either way, they don't have to keep us under payment if they don't want to. We have no power of what actually happens to our babies...
yeah, if i remember correctly, the fine print of my contract i signed a couple years ago said they can cancel the contract, subsequently ending payment, whenever they want
yeah, if i remember correctly, the fine print of my contract i signed a couple years ago said they can cancel the contract, subsequently ending payment, whenever they want
However, I doubt they'd do that. They'd screw with contributors so hard that others might lose interest in contributing, in fear of being screwed over the same way.
Part of me thinks they will just retire Valve-made hats, they'd get a pretty bad rep for just removing a random contributors hat from the game.
Yes, but as Void Skull said, contributors can agree with VALVe about removing items they (contributors) made.
Yes, but as Void Skull sayed, if people who made community items will agree about retirement of items they made, their items will of course will be retired too.
I understood literally some of that sentence.
Yes, but as Void Skull sayed, if people who made community items will agree about retirement of items they made, their items will of course will be retired too.
And if they disagree?
What happens then.

Well, maybe I am Russian and my English is not brilliant, I am at least not a dick.

Dont know, if they decided to retire first 9 hats, I think they can retire contributions too.

death by exile
My vintage fro was the first hat I ever got dropped, way way back. It became vintage, and I traded it away to a friend. A few months later, he gave me it back, and it has sat in my backpack for well over a year and a half. It has been loved, and will always be held close to my heart.
I would like to put in a word that there is one company policy that valve has always upheld, and it has nothing to do with customers.
The employees at valve do what they want to do.
And what they want to do.... is science.

Well, they can. But I don't think it'll be that good for Valve. They have a good connection to their community. This would just not do them any good.
if they get rid of modest pile of hat so help me god
if they get rid of modest pile of hat so help me god
I just got one in a drop yesterday. I hope not, it's one of the better all-class hats.
I just got one in a drop yesterday. I hope not, it's one of the better all-class hats.
I want an unusual one so badly, if they get rid of it, the prices of an already high priced all class unusual will become a joke and no one will be able to get one
