Oh wow. Apparently the spy's gun and knife cannot hurt a sentry while it's being red-tape sapped. I've tried, but not in a testing environment.
Wonder if the -100% damage stat makes sapped sentry 100% immune to any incoming damage? In that case, it's pretty balanced.
Now I kind of want a set called the "Lil' Chief" like the Big Chief, but for Scout. A little headband thing with a feather in the back an old stone and wood throwing tomahawk [thumb]http://johndenugent.org/images/stone-tomahawk.jpg[/thumb] and maybe a totem pole backpack or something. Or just those two items as a mini-set.

Sapping a sentry is an opportunity for the team to just waltz in and destroy it, if it takes zero damage overall, then that just annoys the shit out of your team since they can't do anything to it.

To me, it seems that the TF2 team lately is using community items that fit the artstyle/time period a bit more, apart from a little 70s influence.
The heavy can now spycheck with the new mini-gun. He could defend a sentry/dispenser set up pretty well.
The heavy can now spycheck with the new mini-gun. He could defend a sentry/dispenser set up pretty well.
there's no way for a Spycicle Spy to backstab Heavy with this gun reved
i think if valve uses the community for promo's now we could get more promo weapons
-I don't know what I'm talking about-
I love how the cleaver bounces off walls Does the bounce do anything if it hits someone? Does it hurt buildings? Just curious
Urban map in TF2 is going to be interesting.
You know what I find funny about the red tape glitch? Valve probably didn't use any custom HUD (since playtesting with a modded game would be weird) allowing them to see building's health in numerical value during playtests.
with the new map, say good bye to cartoony 60's.
with the new map, say good bye to cartoony 60's.
When it was in the Demoman picture, it didn't look that out of place.
i really want these items, is the game worth getting? oh yeah, it's not out yet, my bad
So some guy takes the liberty of calling it a throwing axe. How do you look at a meat cleaver and think "oh it's an axe"?
Cleavers are called "meat axes" where I'm from, so it's kind of weird to read "How do you look at a (meat) axe and think "oh it's an axe?"
anyone know if the weapons drop already? And if not, when they will?
is triad trinket bugged? my spy has a flying colar on his face, and snipers seems to be using heavy model
multi-class items are bugged. Have been for a month now. Maybe this will push them to actually fix it
All of these Chinese Mafia but no Panda Costume for the Heavy?
So are these new items dropping or are they preorder/craft only?
They don't drop as of yet, but they surely will soon as Valve eventually adds all weapons with unique and gameplay changing stats to the drop system.
the last 8 months valve has been terrible with the drop system
with the new map, say good bye to cartoony 60's.
Yes, because it's all going to suddenly disappear because of one map.
with the new map, say good bye to cartoony 60's.
Doomsday was way more immersion breaking and conflicted the theme with its overt silliness. A Hong Kong map fits perfectly in the theme. Bond went to Asia all the time.
Dr No is half Chinese!
And let's not forget Fu Manchu
Im really excited for the map content. I was thinking of making an Asian themed map but didnt have the textures and models and that, this is perfect.
The whole "Teleportation" shit didn't break the 60's theme, but having a map in china does.
