The Raincatcher. Y'know, the blocky, plain, fastidious Tricorne made by knuckle that valve only added to avoid a lawsuit. Yeah, that one. [editline]k[/editline] Sorry Knuckle, but you can't model worth a damn and you can't texture worth a shit.
The Raincatcher is way up on my list of favourite hats. Only it's bad look when painted lets it down.
These are the scum of TF2 hats: (aka hats I dislike the most, mainly due to being out of style or just too silly) The Raincatcher is a very nice hat, however.
I think the Respectless Rubber Glove and Brain Slug fit Pyro the best. Napper's Respite is ugly looking. [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] Also, fuck the Thanksgiving hat.
Carouser's Capotain is the most unfitting. The Texas Ten Gallon seems to be near the top as being the best.
I should have mentioned the hotrod and the towering hats among the abominations as well. The hat towers both have terribly bland coloring, AND they fuck up the character silhouettes. They're no more than an ugly looking bland joke. The modest pile is somewhat decent however. The hotrod would have been alright if it weren't for its very off color coupled with that godawful flame decal.
I think the best hats are all the original Valve created ones, before the hat craze exploded. You can really tell they put in a lot of effort to match them almost perfectly to each class and their personality. As for what I think clashes, there are way to many to list for me personally. One thing I absolutely despise is the Tribalman's shiv, I won't even keep it in my backpack.
unfitting hats Soldier: Dr dapper topper Pyro: Old gualadajara Demoman: captain carouser Also I think the best hats are the ones who were released before polycount [editline]9th November 2010[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/0/0f/Brainslug.png/250px-Brainslug.png[/img_thumb]
The brainslug fits, remember that the pyro is a nerd/geek and is crazy
Pyro: all of them /thread
The brainslug fits, remember that the pyro is a nerd/geek and is crazy
Unless Valve gives some kind of backstory as to where the brainslug comes from or what it really is, it's unfitting.

oh, and I love the earbuds so much, but they really fuck over spy. Also, anyone wearing Ellis Cap + Spy needs an internet punch to the dick.
oh, and I love the earbuds so much, but they really fuck over spy. Also, anyone wearing Ellis Cap + Spy needs an internet punch to the dick.
I use the ellis cap with the camera beard and looks good
I use the ellis cap with the camera beard and looks good
I use a Gibus + Beard combo, IZ FUNNY TO ME! Also, thread topic: Hats that fit better IMO: Scout: Batter Helm, Baker Boy Soldier: Sergeant Drill hat, hands down Pyro: Brigade Helm, Rubber Glove, Merryweather Demoman: Demo Fro, Glengarry Bonnet, Hallmark Heavy: Ushanka, Toque, and Heavy Duty Rag. Also, Pugilist Protector looks perfect in KGB/GRU heavies for me Engineer: Texas Ten Gallon Medic: Tylorean, Pickelhaube Sniper: Trophy Belt, Panama Spy: Fedora Mumbling abominations: Scout: All seem to fit quite well. Maybe the Bombing run seems a bit odd. Soldier: Dapper Topper. Doesn't fit on the Soldier. I would rather make it a Sniper hat since the Sniper is tall and slim, just like the Cat in the Hat, but, nope, it just doesn't fit on the TF2 universe. Still, the hat is cute. Pyro: None. Maybe the Handyman seems a bit forced. Demoman: Capotain. Please, Valve, change the model :gonk: Heavy: (Sucks) Hard Counter. Engineer: All of them seem to fit quite well. Medic: No one, I guess. Maybe the Goggles look good if you see him as a Ghostbuster, but don't fit quite well with main Medic's personality. Still, I like them a lot. Sniper: Uh, none, i think. Spy: Billycock. Modest pile looks much better.

Enjoy your internet dick punch.
The Stainless and Dr's Dapper Topper aren't all that quite fitting for the Soldier, personally.
Unless Valve gives some kind of backstory as to where the brainslug comes from or what it really is, it's unfitting.
Pyro got it from a novelty store. Sci fi got huge in '68
I must say that the grenadier's softcap and the attendant both fit their respective classes very well. Mann Co cap is awesome and I don't care what anyone says. Looks so much better than the ellis cap on so many classes, including spy, pyro, sniper, and demoman.
Pyro got it from a novelty store. Sci fi got huge in '68
True. But I heard from somewhere that the Brainslug was alive, like the Parasite hat.
My opinions on hats. Fitting Scout - Batter's Helmet Soldier - Soldier's Stash Pyro - Brigade Helm Demoman - Glengarry Bonet Heavy - Officer's Ushanka Engineer - Texas Ten Gallon Medic - Otolaryngologist's Mirror Sniper - Professional's Panama Spy - Fancy Fedora Unfitting Scout - Bombing Run Soldier - Dr's Dapper Topper Pyro - Handyman's Handle Demoman - Carouser's Capotain Heavy - Hard Counter Engineer - Mining Light Medic - Gentleman's Gatsby Sniper - Master's Yellow Belt Spy - Magistrate's Mullet
My opinions on hats. Unfitting Scout - Bombing Run Soldier - Dr's Dapper Topper Pyro - Handyman's Handle Demoman - Carouser's Capotain Heavy - Hard Counter Engineer - Mining Light Medic - Gentleman's Gatsby Sniper - Master's Yellow Belt Spy - Magistrate's Mullet
Was Valve just trying to be nice by accepting those hats?
I don't understand how any hat can be unfitting of the Pyro. She's crazy and will wear anything.
I don't understand how any hat can be unfitting of the Pyro. She's crazy and will wear anything.
There's your reason, you lack common sense and good taste.
Unfitting Scout - Bombing Run Soldier - Dr's Dapper Topper Pyro - Handyman's Handle Demoman - Carouser's Capotain Heavy - Hard Counter Engineer - Mining Light Medic - Gentleman's Gatsby Sniper - Master's Yellow Belt Spy - Magistrate's Mullet
Mining Light unfitting? That's the most fitting engineer hat. What on earth are you talking about?
Hats, most fitting and least fitting respectively Scout - Tossle Cap, Bombing Run Soldier - Stash, Dapper's Pyro - Brigade Helm, Handyman's Handle Demo - Bonnet, Capotain Heavy - Ushanka, Hard Counter Engi - Hotrod, all the hats are fitting. Medic - Medic Mask/Mirror (if we can include Misc), Pickelhaube Sniper - Trophy Belt, Snaggletooth, most of the hats are fitting, but Snaggletooth is a tad unfitting Spy - Fedora/Beret, Mullet
All the original hats fit pretty well. If you don't know what they are, they're Batters helm Soldier's Stash Pyro's Beanie Demofro Football Helm Mining Light Nazi Hat (prickelhaube, i think its called) Trophy Belt and Fancy Fedora (my favourite hat in the game). The hats that I think fit perfectly are Ze goggles, Drill hat and the Tossle cap. They just fit so fucking well. Maybe that's just me, though. [editline]9th November 2010[/editline] Also, am I the only person who doesn't like the Merryweather? Seriously.
Could you please explain this? I didn't know that part.
I think it was some sort of mistake valve made and replaced the Tricorne with the Raincatcher. Because it was already in-game they just let it in. Again, not really sure.
