Yeah. I'm using that dialog in fact to find most of these shortcut keys. It doesn't change the fact that what I've found so far isn't nearly as convenient.

Ok, just did a quick test to make sure this would be right. I made a (very) bad cane and tried unwrapping with smart projections: [img]http://thefwcentral.com/upload/content/images/blender_UV_1242783f.png[/img] Yeah, that's unusable. So, I instead marked the seams where I want it to split the UV. I selected one line of edges up the inside of the cane, pressed Ctrl-E, then selected Mark Seam - this makes them turn orange. I then did the same for the edge around the base and top of the cane. After doing so, I get this UV map: [img]http://thefwcentral.com/upload/content/images/blender_UV_2765c3fe.png[/img] Still not perfect, but a lot better. It bugs me that the rows/columns of vertices aren't aligned perfectly, but that can be manually fixed with the auto-align functions. There's probably an automated way to do that too but I haven't used it.

Also, I know everyone seems to like arguing whenever it's brought up, but I did just get the TrophyGun viewmodels to appear. They have broken textures, but unlike Blender's broken plugin 3DS Max exported it correctly.
Can I UV a model with quads and still have it work when the exporter turns it into tris?

Yes. I only did that texture to see what part of the uv map covered what part of the model: dont take it seriously.

Well, I've got the trophygun view model in. Only issues are that the blue skin doesn't work (but the natascha one does, strangely) and that the ubersaw is basically invisible, since the barrel always obscures it. [b]Edit:[/b] It works fine in HLMV too, which is the strange thing.
Well the first time someone made the trophygun sketch,the ubersaw was kinda retarded and dumb,so removing it wouldn't be bad at all. (Yay for the box fort i will get after that because people can't take critcism) King of page 35...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
