An automatic staple gun? Now this would be an awesome implement to any office junior's arsenal, even after being fired.
An automatic staple gun? Now this would be an awesome implement to any office junior's arsenal, even after being fired.
For the medic. I guess I'll call it something along the line of Surgeon's Stapler, pretty straightfoward, I know, but staplers DO exist in the surgical world and they come in all shapes and sizes. Not so much this one, though. Supposed stats: Higher firing rate Faster projectiles (Staples instead of syringes) Longer reload
Good to know.
They should add the stapler in, so the people at Valve that were fired can strike back
Anyone who has experience compiling V_models want to help me? I can't seem to get it right.
It looks good, i would like to know what colours you are thinking of painting it with.
No one commented. It's the first model I've ever made and all
That can't be your first model EVER. Please don't tell me it is. If so.. then I fucking suck at modeling. How is this possible. I still CAN'T do detailed stuff. Like smooth surfaces, stuff that wrap around the model etc. Just.. BLOCK, BLOCK, BLOCK. The gun I'm making is gonna be a crossover of the Carcano and the Mosin Nagant in pistol form for the Spy, but what should it's name be?
It looks good, i would like to know what colours you are thinking of painting it with.
I'm kinda thinking in the road of the beta nailgun - Whites, and metallic grey. Probably some orange for the pressure tubes.

Try poly editing, watch tutorials, add meshsmooth/smooth modifiers, the works.

Well, it doesn't look so bad. I would just do something about the legs, though.
You can do wires and stuff. Try poly editing, watch tutorials, add meshsmooth/smooth modifiers, the works.
Alright, the summer is coming up so I have plenty of time. I'll look into that.
No seriously it is But.. Well, it doesn't look so bad. I would just do something about the legs, though.
Wow, you are already off to a great start then. And I know about the legs, I wanted to do some tank tracks but I ended up being too lazy. Resulting in me just mashing those horrendous legs together.

But for now I'm going to bed. Double ninja'd by my own rocket launcher. Holy shit.
So cool. Can we see a viewmodel shot?
Yeah, killing someone with a Shiv swing is "woodenkukri" and someone dying from bleeding is "world". Woodenkukri works fine, but world mistakenly shows whatever weapon you have out when they die. So if you hit them with it and you have the Shiv out when they die of bleeding, it'll show the Shiv icon. If you hit them with it then take out your Huntsman, then their death icon will be an arrow. It turns into a skull and crossbones if they die of bleeding after you die. Nothing Neo can do about it, sadly. It's up to Valve to fix.
Thanks, I'm very bored of typing that. aww shit!
fucking smoothing groups HOW DO THEY WORK?!
aww shit!

fucking smoothing groups HOW DO THEY WORK?!
Damn I love you guys Also a thanks to my mentor, Communist Cake
Damn I love you guys
You are one of those [del]bastards[/del] who come in and instantly become better than me at modeling. I need to practice more, I barely know how to use smoothing groups. Good job though, I assume it's going to be a scout replacement?

Faster firing rate and projectile velocity because of the 'hackjob' pressure container, but longer reload and a bit less damage.. Because they are staples. And to think that 2-3 days ago I was whining about how I wish I could model.

A doctor had to put two of those in the back of my head when I got pushed into a steel door last year. (It was an accident) :ohdear:
Ouch, dude, that has to hurt.
Yeah, staples belong in paper - I can't believe how horrible it must be to get one in under your skin :aaaaa:
they hurt quite a bit actually, had to get 5 of them in the scalp after getting knocked out.

When I raised my eyebrows you could feel how the staples started moving. IT HURTS SO BAD! Anyway, enough of me crying in this thread. I gotta study for my test tomorrow. :v: [editline]01:38PM[/editline] Wow, lots of staple stories now.
