doesnt this mode seems alittle familiar? (Similar mode game titles stated will cause a war, not stating them)
I mean, yeah its new to TF series universe but in terms of game in general?
The "coop survivor" game mode, not the game.
Sounds fake , valve usually doesnt use testers
hey
they do
The "coop survivor" game mode, not the game.
Yes, that has been done many, many times before.
Sounds fake , valve usually doesnt use testers
While they do, and you're sort of an idiot for saying they don't; I'm curious as to why they chose him exactly? I get it, he does plenty of stuff on reporting for tf2, but aren't there some more deserving contributors out there who deserve to playtest such a big thing? Unless of course they already have and I was just left out of that contributor list, just seems odd he got chosen for something as huge as MvM playtesting.
Wondering if someone has already managed to get the soundtrack from the trailer and uploaded it on Youtube.
I thought Spies might be able to sap the bots.
Page king, have generic MvM screenshot.

I just realized that the giant robot in that image is the Soldier.

so i dun quite understand whats the hype?
If its about "conspiracy turn out to be true" then alright, understandable
sometimes people are so easily blinded by what they are told.
Anyway, still too early to tell, 2 more days of update. maybe then, new features will define MVM to be unique.
I wonder if the bots will have less health than your average enemy?
Because I imagine cutting through everything that isn't a boss with my minigun like a moderately sharp knife through somewhat resiliant butter, but if every robot has the same amount of health as the class they represent, then holy shit this is gonna get clusterfucky real fast.
[sp]Not that that wouldn't be fun, though.[/sp]
Remember that "Every class has 2(was it 3?) times their health" test they had in the beta long time ago. Could that be possible? It would add challenge if the Scout bots have 250 health, but that might be to much?

This is the most unique thing to hit Team Fortress 2 since the idealization of hats and trading.
It's not being to be a generic survival mode, it's going to be pretty damn good.
Also about the hype, nothing Co-Op related has entered Team Fortress 2 ever.
This game has been a Face to Face multiplayer game since the beginning. This game was never meant to be a Co-Op game, and it probably wasn't even originally supposed to last this long. Valve saw the support this game had, so they stuck to it and it turned into one of their largest pools of income. They listen to the fan-base and keep this game fun and creative.
It's a shocking revelation in this new chapter of Team Fortress 2.
Why do people think some classes are useless
The Pyro can burn and melt their electronic brain, the Sniper can headshot them or even throw piss as them (I don't know about you but last time I did that to my computer it didn't went very well) and the Spy can sap them
Although I really want to know what the SPy will do with his disguise kit. I want to hear him say beep boop in a ridiculously french accent.

THAT ^, explains. Yeah... totally true, IF one would to look at it linearly in the chapter of TF2 or even TF series.
I'm looking forward to this update.
The music in the trailer gives me the chills.

I can't tell if you are agreeing with me, or making a comment about how I'm dumb and Team Fortress 2 is linear as fuck.
[sp]It doesn't have a Singleplayer.[/sp]

I'm not 100% on this whole "Spy can sap robots" thing.
Even if he can sap them, it won't do anything that substantial. The sapper has unlimited ammo and can be essentially rapid-fire, and something about a spy running through the battlefield 1-shotting all of the robots before they can even get a shot off just doesn't seem right to me.
If anything the sapper will probably just slow their processes down or make them more susceptible to incoming damage.
also, now that this thread is going at a correct pace

Is that about right for now?
Overpriced stuff refers to the in-game Archimedes mentionned by the Valve Store. You know it will be Genuine and you know it will be a shitton :v:

That doesn't make sense. You can't look at an update for a game linearly. That means in a line. Time is linear, but a single update is not. Nor are viewpoints and opinions on them.
I just read to the latest comic, and, by far, this was the best part:

Promo items.
Didn't we just get two sets of promo items in a Major Update? :v:
Oh god, what if we get the source of the Video when the update hits SFM. That would be incredibly amazing.

Replace all of the robots with Soldiers wearing the robot soldier set.

I wouldn't say anything "totally" unexpected has happened yet.
We all expected a wave-based combat system with robots that ran from a lobby-style matchmaking system and that giant robots would be a thing.

I think he means gray, the redmond and blutarch stuff, and the pregnancy machine.
I think we will be able also to play this gamemode in solo, with a bunch of bots at teammates. It's the only salvation for me at the moment, since I'll be stuck with a terrible connection until 5th September.
