I'm also kind of worried, since the robots will be big (Giants,Sentry Buster), which means map would have to be kind of huge vertically, which would (kind of) lower my amount of (currently low) FPS.

I wouldn't say that, the giants would certainly be lower than the current standard vertical limit of maps.
