Is it weird that the thing I'm most looking forward to is the new sounds? Specifically the robots.

I figured they chose to reuse the mercs as a game design choice, so most players would have a clear sense of what the bots are capable of. That said, I wonder if bots will be as sturdy as actual players or if they'll be squishy tin cans. I imagine it'd be easier to be overwhelmed with full HP bots, but also more fun.

It was the only weapon in existence that ever considered no random crits a good enough downside if I recall correctly, and yet despite it being 5 years old and now fixed, people still make jokes about the no random crit attribute. Whether it be on a melee weapon when it is a legitimate down side, or when people not realize most of the time it's only on weapons that have activated crit abilities for the sake of not causing confusion. Fuck.
So, new weapons today?

Do you guys think music will be playing during the MvM rounds? TF2 is fine without music in standard gameplay, but with something like this, I feel like music would be key. More than just ambient noises and whirrs and stuff. Like Left 4 Dead or Payday: The Heist.

Like Left 4 Dead or Payday: The Heist.[/QUOTE] Considering that they likely moved the director technology over to TF2 for the special bot spawns, I would expect that they would move the ambient music as well, since it keeps the tone set for when a wave is coming, when a wave ends, and when a boss shows up.
It's entirely possible when they say mercs, they mean the upgrades and such you can buy in the new gamemode. I certainly hope not though.
I want all of the robots to say "I am here to take american jobs!" also while adding something specific to the end. Examples: Sniperbot: "I am here to take american jobs!" "Mate!" Medicbot: "I am here to take american jobs!" "Dummkopf!"
My thoughts are that Day 2 will include weapons for the Mercs and another map, perhaps with some extra goodies thrown in, while the "Bounty" of Day 3 will detail the upgrade system and money you can get. [editline]sweetjesus[/editline] Holy shit, my next post is my 3000th

Guys guys what if the reason there's no Engineer bot is because the Tank has a Giant Engineer body on it
This is what I've been wondering ever since last night. Exactly what is the difference between Day 2 "Mercs" and Day 3 "Bounty"? I'd guess that weapons, if they're coming, will be covered under "Bounty." So what will they focus on with the Mercs? I'd love to think that various classes get new skills or special abilities, e.g. the Engie might be able to do something with his buildings in MvM that he's never done in regular TF2. Same with the Spy. Maybe they'll change the core mechanics around to better suit them for fighting hordes?
