Expecting the return of the infinite mini-sentries glitch from the Engy Update
Does anyone know if it's going to be a lobby system like L4D, or you just join a server.

I actually need the update to hold off for 8 more hours, then it's free to be released before 11est when I go to bed :)

When it says a second mini sentry, is that with the gunslinger, so 2 mini sentries, or will it allow an engie with the other wrenches to build their regular sentry then have a mini as well? i'm presuming the first because the build hud would get too awkward otherwise.
Either way i'm a happy engie, i rock my strange gunslinger at all times anyway :dance:

Either should work. But joining through a lobby will force the server to the map you choose.
Surely upgrades, onslaught etc is part of the gaming world now, so it's hard to say they copied something when it is so used in various games? May be wrong.

it's a minisentry with a regular sentry (or two mini sentries with the Gunslinger)
The MS doesn't need a HUD. There's no sappers, and its health is so low you don't need to see it at all times. It's a fire and forget sentry, so you don't really need the HUD info.
Either that or Engy will get the long needed update to his HUD (hopefully with new images for a Minisentry, and level 2-3 dispensers)
I'm pretty sure we'll get some new voicelines for the classes considering it's a completely new gamemode with quite unique gameplay mechanics...
I wonder if there will be any killing floor references.
Btw lets add each other for mvm lobies , someone should start a new thread about this .

there's already placeholders for it, so yea, everyone, even Medic, will get lines.

How about Pyro?
Pyro really needs more varied voicelines, I really think he's the class with the least voicelines in the entire game and many of his voicelines are repeated as different responses. So although some new lines for Medic would be nice, I still think Pyro needs it more.
I hope Medic has a voice line referencing that time when he stole the catering van during the prime minister's wedding.

everyone seems set up, probably even Pyro, although I never checked specifically for him like I did Medic.
I'm also pretty sure they don't remember the right filter they used for Pyro, because his new lines from Manniversary were slightly... off compared to his old lines

While I disagree completely and think that Pyro is a class that doesn't really need lines as much as ANYONE else, I'm almost certain that everyone's going to get new lines with this update.
I get what you're saying as far as the different responses thing goes, but I'd much rather have lines that actually have dialogue, not just muffled grunts with varying emotion.
Someone on SPUF had a cool idea, that the ripped away canteen is actually a grenade slot canteen and you get three class specific grenades in that slot.
Which would make a lot of sense. It's a chance to pull grenades back into TF2, without having to worry as much about balance and players flying around the map like they have a jetpack.
So now that hype went down, can you people help me check what's done? :v:

I thought they did the voicelines the same way as Matt and Trey does Kenny's voice in South Park,[sp]hold your hand in front of your mouth while talking.[/sp] In that case it might just be a case of the actor forgetting a bit how he did his original impersonation.

I hate how many people think this way. He's unintelligible, but not a mute. He talks as often as everyone else, and therefor even though you can't understand what he says, his lines still get terribly repetitive because there isn't enough variation between them. So yes, I think Pyro needs more voice lines than any other class right now, because he's the class with the most notably repetitive voice lines.
Which Valve engineer is that?
