You know what I found funny? How everybody thought Eagle was some sort of corporation that went around kidnapping children, and it turned out to literally be a motherfucking eagle that swooped in and took Gray.
I firmly believe that they are using this ARG to promote not only MvM but the Linux support on the side, just as an added bonus. Grey's appearance in contrast to his brothers strongly reminds me of like introducing a unique platform, something different. As people have said, they make this story as they go, it would only make sense for them to use this opportunity to show a little love for the Linux users on top of everything else they plan to do with this ARG.
Gray is kind of a jerk.
They were babies at the time, Redmond and Blutarch didn't even know he existed!
He manipulates them into a truce, which would assumedly stop their wasting of the Mann family money, but kills them anyway, even though they apparently weren't even fighting over the thing he actually wanted. >_>
Were talking about a guy here who willingly killed and ate his Eagle mother and children whom took the time to take care of him. Antagonist Alert! Antagonist Alert!
Here's my theory: MvM is going to be Saxton Hale vs Gray Mann. Gray needs Hale's equipment and weapons, so he sends swarms of robot armies to get them, whereas Hale hires Red and Blu to defend his warehouses. I'm predicting a L4D-style zombie horde mode, where you'll have access to all the weapons that the class you're playing as can get (left lying around different parts of a gigantic map, L4D style). This is gonna be AWESOME!!
But L4D weapons work in tiers, while TF2 weapons work as different weapons altogether.
That would be the death of the Zombie Fortress gamemode.
and Mecha's upcoming robot mode.
2 birds with one stone here.
Yes, at last someone will kick Saxton hale ass for good.
Yes, at last someone will kick Saxton hale ass for good.
No man, that's far away.
Well, they are trying to write an antagonist.
... I think? Maybe?
I don't even know
Pretty sure Gray is jealous that his father hated him and loved Blutrach and Redmond so this is how he gets his revenge?
Yes, at last someone will kick Saxton hale ass for good.
Where's the "That will never happen" rating?
Anyway, I think that there's pretty much no more possibility of more bloodstains, unless the update starts a week from now. Which leads me to wonder when the bloodstains will be removed...
Yes, at last someone will kick Saxton hale ass for good.
not physically possible
Pretty sure Gray is jealous that his father hated him and loved Blutrach and Redmond so this is how he gets his revenge?
It didn't look like he loved Redmond and Blutarch in his will or the Loose Canon comic.
Yes, at last someone will kick Saxton hale ass for good.
But Saxton Hale is literally one of the only vidya characters I really like.
I also like some select TF2 characters. When you think about it, Valve did an amazing job with bringing life to their characters. Just look at how much content people have generated that's based off the TF2 characters. I think it's safe to say that the Internet identifies with the TF2 classes more than any other cast of video game characters. It's also extremely impressive considering their original goal was to just create diverse classes which each had their specialties when it came to fighting, yet they ended up crafting 9 of the most personalized characters to ever exist in an FPS.

"Loved" may have been the wrong word, but he certainly didn't like Gray as much.
why would you want to beat up Saxton Hale. He's like the closest thing TF2 actually has to a half way decent human being.
Yes, at last someone will kick Saxton hale ass for good.
Impossible, no one can beat Saxton Hale.
Page king, woo.

After Gordon Freeman.

That made me tear up a little.
Also, when MvM comes out, OP better put this in the thread:

Think of it as a cute puppy, first time it barks, aww how cute, then as time goes on, more barking and barking and barking, until your miserable brain can't take it, as you soon start to bark back at the dog.
But L4D weapons work in tiers, while TF2 weapons work as different weapons altogether.
Well I can totally see Valve manipulating the map elements to favor certain weapons over others. Ex: As a Soldier, you may start off with the default RL but some part of the map might involve an insane swarm of hordes through a tunnel, where you'd prefer the Beggar's Bazooka. There might even be a mini-game where you have to hit certain flying targets to get access to more weapons or something, where you'd prefer the Direct Hit. Or there might be a crescendo event where you need to climb a really tall tower to keep hitting a timer bell that sends out a shockwave to the hordes, where you'd prefer the Rocket Jumper.
All in the map style.
Sorry but Hale is nothing more that a sponsor for the store.
He lost alot of character a long time ago and most of the time (if not all the time) he come by the only thing he does is " BUY FOR THE MANNCO STORE OHOHOHO." He doesn't to the history of the game.
I glad as fuck to have a new face with a plan of taking what he deserves.

More of a sponsor my ass. If he's a sponsor, how did he inspire VSH?
Think more, ya lummox.

He's pretty dickish, I'd say. Plus he's the face of the store, and who wouldn't want to punch that?
Though the scene in the comic where Barnabus got torn up by Mrs. Mann's death did hit me in the sympathy bone.
i wonder if this has anything to do with the gameinformer cover thing
You can still be a dickhead and retain a lot of character. See: All in the Family.

The Mann Co. Store is a lot more than just an in-game cash shop, and Saxton Hale only promoted it in-game because he is the closest thing TF2 has to a mascot. He's basically the global representative of TF2.
Simple, dear old daddy Mann was a crazy jerk who didn't care about his wife, his red/blu sons were crazy jerks who fought over useless land for 150 years, and his cripple/deformed/weakling evil genius son was a jerk who ate his adoptive mother and adoptive siblings.
Their dog probably bit small neighbor children.
