Alright, I have a Engi hat idea that has long been forgotten. I have a rough model done but I lack the skill to bring it around to TF2 quality. I have no idea how to do anything beyond incredibly basic low-poly work. Would a modeler here be willing to hop in and try it out? (Maybe NeoDement or Daimao?:v:)

I was actually planning to make this myself eventually if no one else did it. Goddamn I love you. The mask should definitely be white, but an alternative would be to skin the mask to look like leather. Traditional depictions of the Plague Doctors tend to have a white mask, but it was actually common in the day for the mask to be made out of leather. At least, I'm quite sure it was, but I could be wrong. Also make sure the lenses of the mask are red glass as well, as Plague Doctors' masks usually had red lenses as it was believed to protect the wearer from evil. I find it funny how inefficient the mask would actually be in this situation, however. Oftentimes Plague Doctors would wear very thick cloaks coated in wax in order to protect themselves from contagion and often stuff the beak of the mask full of different herbs with the belief it could ward off the plague and overpower the stench of rotting corpses. But clearly the Medic doesn't really need to worry about the plague so it's fine. However it does look a little strange for his mouth to not be covered. Perhaps a scarf wrapped around his lower face might make it look better. But yeah if you need any help with the mask I'd be happy to give a hand. Sure you already have everything covered but as you can see I have a bit of a soft spot when it comes to medieval European history, particularly the Bubonic Plague.
Can you make source models in solidworks? If so, time to dust off solidworks...

Not if you rig it right it won't. Besides, I made it kinda poofy, to help prevent that. The worst part, honestly, will be the strap. I had to model a second strap over it to match up with the bag, but if I recall correctly the bag itself is on jiggle bones so it'll wave in the wind as the Scout runs. I can't do jiggly at all, so... But it's all in the rigging to bones, in which case... yeah, I'm pretty fucked bro.

Hey guys, update on the head knife thing. First off how does this new name sound: The Horrific Headsplitter? And second of all here is a update on the texture. Once i fix up that part of the mesh i think i should be all set to compile and release it! Im looking at a 128x128 texture, but might have to go bigger. The model right now sits in around 320 polygons. Hope you guys like it so far!

A question before I head off for the night. If I replaced a weapon model, let's say the Scattergun, and gave it a different texture (such as v_scattergun to v_somethinggun) would the original texture (v_scattergun) still be loaded by the game engine?

Ok so if this looks fine to everyone i will start to get it all done for the rest of the classes. [img]http://imgur.com/xx3rv.jpg[/img] I was able to keep it at a 128x128 texture and only about 400 polygons. I'm one happy chap!
