I took it one step further and added some scratch marks on the gray bit as well! Of course when shrunk down to 128x128 you probably wont see it, but i just couldnt resist adding that extra bit of detail. Is this more like it (Keep in mind this is the high quality texture)? How does it look on 128x128 and 256x256? 256x256 is the "regular" hat texture size, so you can easily afford that if it looks better. Also, the metal "knobs" on the handle are a slightly lighter grey than the blade, not sure if that matters.

Do you think they would look better as the color of the main blade? Looks pretty darn good. Hey, maybe you could do it as a parasite replacement, that way every class will have it sit on their head in a different way. Not sure if it'll work that brilliantly (there might be some issues with the blood not fitting to the head correctly), but still worth a try because the effect would be cool imho (soldier with cleaver in his face :D).

My first idea was to make it replace the halo and do what you are saying about the alien swarm hat. I quickly dismissed it for i knew the blood fitting the head would be a problem. Honestly i am going to replace it with my gibus for each class for i know everyones gibus is going to start going out around this season! I will release different versions of it to replace different hats, but the initial release will just replace the gibus i think. I should be able to push it out tomarrow at the lastest!

There also needs to be a second tips installment soon, or atleast after the secret polycount pack is released.

i don't know about you guy's but i want one of the scattergun skins to replace the shortstop, i HATE mistaking that thing for a pistol all the time...

The only reason I am not modifying items_game.txt is because that shit is going to be updated every time Valve releases an update, and I am not particularly keen on doing the same.

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR DAIMAO ROYZO OR NEODEMENT. Are Community weapons supposed to sparkle in first person?
No they updated it, third person only now. I don't like it as much, I keep getting my Rocket Jumper confused with my Community Rocket Launcher.
