What program is best for texture work, I'm using GIMP and it rarely turns out looking good.

Photoshop. I personally use a combination of GIMP and Paint.NET, but I don't really do any artistic texture work like for models.
I think I once heard of a command or something that keeps the hat on the head after you die? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I ask this because I recently tried to do a simple reskin of the KGB, and while the coloring was good, I couldnt shade it properly, it just looks painted on. That, and the lack of realistic brushes.
Daimo's paint maps are what I was expecting from Valve. Awesome job, now hats won't look like they were made of plastic anymore.
Valve should just hire Daimao, I mean he probably needs a job anyway
And he's amazing enough.

That's eXtine's spectator hud. it comes in addons with Community HUD. Just goto their google code page and download addons i believe.

Well I've made it out of a mix of the Ubersaw and the blade_hit sound, namely so valve can use it if they want to rather then having to check to make sure the sounds involved are actually free to use. (which is why my custom sounds in his pack are really just modified sounds from similar weapons)
Shugo was going to have it use the ubersaw sound for the updated sounds, but he said it didn't make sense seeing as the saw doesn't actually drain anything from the foe, which is understandable.

As far as Daimao releases his decompiler im going to do a huge pack including team-colored sleeves fixes, FOV 75 friendly animations and fixed animations.
