valve is switching to all c_models and discarding the v/w models, so im not even going to bother finishing anything i started for tf2.
I just wish I could actually animate something, but nowadays it isn't even worth it anymore. I just wish you could animate C_models.

Supposedly it's to be part of a wider performance update to help with those people who have been getting lower and lower FPS throughout all these updates. The all-c_model system will enable them to do LODs for every model, too.
C_models have their pros & cons just anything else. Pro, just one compile Con, can't be animated (at this time by the general majority of modders)
