why would this cause the whole trading thing to die? this is in no way a substitution for actual trading or anything like that since all you get out of it is steam wallet funds and taxes.

Store. People buy things there, and instead, they will buy from the market obviously. This will cause items to be worth less. Another part of it is the market taking the cheapest prices up only. There are a LOT of people who aren't everyday traders putting their items up, and they could try to sell it for less or more than the original price. The people who sell for less would cause people to obviously buy them if it's a steal. Oh, and people who try to raise the price of an item will have a hard time to, because of the whole "lowest price" thing. In example, if people try to higher a price of keys to something like $1.70, there's still some people who would sell keys for $1.50, therefore the $1.50 price would stay and the people who try to sell it for $1.70 would not be bought out.

I think the keys dissapeared from tf2wh with the rise of their metal value to 3 ref while they are lower than 3 ref in points.
