If you're buying the game as a gift, it asks you for a recipient then sends it.

If you want to put it in your library, just buy it for yourself. Then it asks if you want to put it in your inventory or add it straight to your library.

You could always send it to someone, tell them to ignore it, then go into your inventory and redeem it for yourself

When you're in checkout after buying an item as a gift, there's an option to store it into your inventory.

When it's in your inventory, there's an option to add it to your library.

XSplit is a bloated, unresponsive, rushly coded, overpriced, subscription based pile of shit compared to open broadcaster.
You'll be amazed as how much more responsive it is, and it can do everything XSplit can, also runs a better codec (x264).
