There's a Demo on Steam.
To put it really simple: Sleeping Doogs is like GTA in Hong Kong. And instead of shootouts, you have a (in my opinion) really great fighting system.

Also, Seibitsu, good luck with the Water Temple when you get to do it. I'm still fighting that floating thing with deattached hands, mainly because I haven't played it since I defeated Ganon in my borther's save file.
