What could it possibly be (before you shit on it, its still WIP)
Euugh...
Posted just so that there won't be a shitty name on it. "01271" actually fits a machine.
What could it possibly be (before you shit on it, its still WIP)
Elf hat with a bow and a bell.
you know you want a Mexican thumb
While I don't particularly mind the current textures of Constructor's solly stuff, I think a couple brushstrokes and maybe a scratch or two would improve them. However, I find the designs perfectly fine. I could see them being worn by people who appreciate the look of the vanilla Soldier but don't want to look like they're too poor to wear hats. Sort of like the Couvre Corner or Sneaky Spats of Sneaking or something.

I better win BANG!.
Its just a joke and an experiment, of course there's going to be some negative feedback, I don't think its going to get ingame anyways. Edit: Just to clarify, the idea is to have the name of the winner engraved only on his weapon, the regular ones have a model without the thing engraved.
Sorry to be a party pooper but Valve are very likely going to reject it because of that. They've said on many cases they don't like people adding others as contributors when there is clear proof that they did nothing for the item and forced the original contributors to resubmit it after rejecting it from workshop. So unless you happen to be notch it likely wont get approved at all.

[editline]4th October 2012[/editline] this is the first time i've ever heard of that happening.
howdy chaps, new here. Moderately new to making tf2 gear and a friend told me to post some stuff here and get your feedbacks, so here i go! This here is a sniper rifle i'm working on i like to call "The Repeat Offender" not textured yet, mid way thru creation i decided to step back and make some more simple items like hats just to get used to working in source, my first hat attemp is up on the workshop at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=99256678 its a bit rough and fairly silly idea, spec is garbage and i didnt do any colors or styles my second project is the beantown boonie a scout hat an goggle combo http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=100544558 i hope you folks enjoy, i tend to do a lot more items in the future

That kind of restricts what they can do with it. As in now they're going to have to cut out the reload animation to put it in.
yeah i am considering putting a bolt mechanism on the other side and haveing when you reload you pull the bolt and the chamber turns, kinda like the demo mans, i know its not realistic to how you would reload, but not like the majority of the reloads in game make sense

The engraving thing is mostly to give value for the players who don't know what a "self made" is and are looking at the workshop item. I could see this item as a reward gifted to players who commented/rated in the workshop previous to the item being added in game.
uh, no they havent? [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] this is the first time i've ever heard of that happening.
It was a year back, there was a competition running on nom-nom-nom.us where the person who got the highest rank for axe kills on their servers would be added as a contributor to a hat a member had made, it finally resulted in a Valve asking him to resubmit it without the winner as a contributor. I'll see if I can try digging up the thread but they've moved their forums over to 3 different types since then.
I wish it got flipped upside down and was turned into a reward for getting bad workshop items taken down.
IV) ??? PROFIT!
would not III be considered profit?
would not III be considered profit?
Not if you make the wrong choice.
I) Remove thumb II) Release as Fists of Steel reskin mod III) Obtain a plethora of money and genitalia from preferred gender of choice.
I say keep the thumbs on the FoS if it were to be a mod.
I thought of stats for it if it was upsde-down: -50% swing speed. Crits on players wearing the hot dogger, engagement ring, texas half pants, big elfin' deal or pocket purrer.
For that set me and blaholtzen are working on for scout, I thought of making shoes like these 60s dancing shoes [thumb]http://www.gq.com/style/blogs/the-gq-eye/saddle-shoes-gq-endorses.jpg[/thumb] But when I modelled it, it looked somewhat dorky. Which we already thought could have been a style with those knee-high diamond patterned socks Just one problem with that, it goes completely against the smooth professional approach we wanted the set to look like. So I tinkered with the soles a bit, because I think that the colour scheme would still work for the set. but I am unsure what to pick because of the fact that it does look significantly different now So please agree disagree [thumb]http://puu.sh/1bobx[/thumb] And perhaps funny as 2 styles, 1 sporty with low ankle socks and 1 dorky with the wide soles and high socks
It's kinda hard to tell out of context - high shoes might clip with his ankle even
has anyone made a mann vs mann mod where you replace the robots with regular playermodels?
"The Repeat Offender"
http://sparkwire.thanez.net/tf2/kangarookicker/ amouro already made something like that, but since he left the community or something, you are free to use my animations for your gun, if you so desire.
It's kinda hard to tell out of context - high shoes might clip with his ankle even
There's a lower leg body group Also, they're equally high as the standard shoes, only difference is the sole but to put it in more context: These are the other items so far (by far all finished) [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/39556064/PaulsGloves.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/39556064/TripleCharm3.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://puu.sh/19P2l[/thumb] [thumb]http://puu.sh/18OjW[/thumb]
http://sparkwire.thanez.net/tf2/kangarookicker/ amouro already made something like that
arent you like the advocate of "doesn't matter, keep going "
arent you like the advocate of "doesn't matter, keep going "
no, thats not what im saying at all. i wanted him to know that i made animations for a similar gun, and that he could use them if he wanted. i edited my post.
