Having shown some people, they discussed that the LEDs might not have existed in the 1960's and thus should not be a part of the watch. However, I have found out that LEDs were invented in the 1960's, which makes their presence on this invisibility watch (which as far as I know, we're still waiting on) factually accurate in our own real world.
However, I'm going to put it to a vote.

I think LEDs on a watch that grants its wearer a cloak of invisibility for a duration is not as far fetched as it may seem. :v:
Hello, gentlemen. I'm new here, and I'm trying to get into TF2 modelling. I know 3ds max a good bit, but I'm not sure what to do or where to go with it.
I'm wondering if anyone here can help me with my first item set, or at least someone I can rely on for advice when I get stuck.
Thank you, and I hope to be back with some models soon.
Add me if you need any help

To the comments saying some sort of speed loader is needed, nonsense! It gives the gun possibilities such as slower reload.
Hell, when I used to shoot my revolver I would load bullets into it three at a time.

He means for the sake of the ingame animations. They look wrong and gravity defying without a speed loader.
How would one go about making a specific area of an in-game item unaffected by paints?
How would one go about making a specific area of an in-game item unaffected by paints?
By making that area black in your alpha mask.
ok probably a dumb idea but since tf2 already has the hammer from red faction, why not have another one of their weapons, this one in particular.

Well, I got bored today, and started working with the texture of my favorite hat, the Summer Hat:

[sp]Sorry for the massive image size[/sp]
Anyways, I fixed the retarded green lighting underneath it and made the flower style look more Hawaiian-y.
Whaddaya think, should I continue?

Tip: Use t or img_thumb tags to thumb images.

Not only that, but I could've easily just made it smaller via paint.net. Too lazy today, I guess.
Oh well, I'll be sure to remember that next time, thanks for the tip.

You mean the in game one, or the one I'm using?
Because I believe I'm using a ligthwarp that was posted in this emporium
If you mean the in game one, sure, just hand me the file name
Reposting because I didn't get any responses last emporium:
I've been working on a small demo sound pack, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working. I named all of the .wav files to fit that which I found on the wiki (demoman_taunts01 for example), which also corroborated with some other sound packs I use but none of them actually work in game for some reason. In fact, I don't think the file makes any sound in game at all. Anyone know why this might be?
It's not SV_pure's fault.
Reposting for the five hundredth time. C'mon I seriously doubt absolutely no-one knows how to fix this problem, someone's gotta.

Maybe it's not in the right location. I believe all character voice lines in the game are in "team fortress 2\tf\sound\vo", but I could be wrong.

From what I can see it's the lightwarp number 8 from my pack. Changing the name will not work, since my lightwarps replace all the lightwarps in the game. uninstall that mod and then take a new screenshot using pyro_lightwarp.

Yeah, I had a feeling it was one of the ones in your pack, but I couldn't remember which one, and if I installed Hawf's lightwarp before or after I installed that.
Anyways, anybody know how to edit alpha masks for hats? That's the last thing I really need to do with this before I'm essentially done.

Alphas are stored in the alpha layer of the vtf files.

They're in the sound folder with the other sound mods I use that work perfectly.

Shut up and be happy... none of my stuff has ever hit page one...
Alright, so what would I have to do to the texture file in order to edit within the alpha layer?
