Those are some good basecolours, all I think it needs is some brushstrokes.
The shape and proportions of the knife are great, IMO, but it looks too small. The blade is tiny and the handle is shorter than the width of his hand.

The blade of the knife is really light coloured, especially the tip, and looks a bit odd.
Anyone know what happened to that chao and the Dr. Robotnik thing that someone was making for Monoculus/Balloonicorn/RoBro?

I gave the normal bumps and changed the contrast on the wreath texture
