Calling it now, Valve will accept this, but make every one of them separate items. (See: Svdl's hair for Heavy and Sniper; Foppish Physician + Distinguished Rogue)

Both the hair Svdl made, and the FP and DR have their textures shared between their different versions, but they're still separate.

Not that it's any of my business, but each of the WIP posted didn't really receive any criticism past "make it paintable". In fact from what I saw it received high praise. So what point is there in criticism now when it is the concept that you are criticising? That is essentially saying "delete it". If people thought the concept was bad they should have made that known when the item was at concept phase. You don't see game developers creating a finished product only for their superior to tell them "I think this game should be set in medieval England not outer space; change it".

The primer clips with the reciever body when firing, so i'm going to rig it to the ejection port instead, which moves less, although i'm not sure if it'll move on the world model after that. And then i have to tweak the shape of the pump so's not to clip with his hands.
but yeah, first 100% successful source export, i'm happy with it, and it should go nice with the other items in the set

I put the UV on it as a test texture to see that i did the material right. There's a hell of a lot of surfaces on it, so i had to pack it tight
