I am not admitting that I like this item despite that it doesn't fit Pyro, because it DOES fit Pyro, and I have provided countless reasons why. Also, I don't believe Pyro is a woman anyway, and I only like male clowns when they're scary.

Anyway, I think I'm going to start doing concepts again, starting with a few winter things. [sp]as if there's anything that hasn't already been done[/sp]

Heres a tip, the messages you get in the console, eg SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 3) are really telling you something. In order for the xmas lights to work you have to meet a list of criteria; 1. You must have ALL the bones of the original xmas lights (Even if they aren't skinned to anything they need to be there). 2. You must NOT let any bones collapse because they have no skin weight, this can be done with some simple qc commands to define each bone that isnt skinned. 3. The bones must be in the EXACT same order as the bones in the item its covering. SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 3) This little message basically means your model only has 1 bone and the game is looking for a model with 3 to do a bone merge. Because there isnt enough it does work. If you where to add all 3 bones for the flame-thrower (weapon_bone, weapon_bone_1 and weapon_bone_L in that same order) only THEN does it work. [B]This error gets REALLY fun when you have to do something like the minigun where all of the Heavys finger, arm and rotating barrel bones are all a factor.[/B] Let this be a warning to anyone wanted to make a xmas lights replacement. It took me so much trial and error to found out those important rules. I want to buy items to give their creators money but I also want them as level 11 :( Valve should really allow us to choose the level of items we buy. If I'm paying 5 bucks for an item I could get for a few refined, it's the least they could do.
If there is no Hallovision, then I don't want any restrictions really. However if they did introduce Hallovision, I'd I think things like the cosmetics that turn the characters into monsters, and monster/ghost items to be restricted to it.

I'd kind of feel guilty seeing a Halloween thing I made in July. it'd be like I've become the very thing I hated
