If I'm not mistaken, they can't actually make different sounds based upon styles, the style system doesn't support that yet.
If it does, I'll bet that in the event that it gets in game, the TF team will neglect to utilize that functionality and the distinction between "Silent" and "Not so Silent" is not one based on volume, just appearance :v:
good news everyone
i'm going to take the day off from a lot of things and just relax today
which means i'll draw a bunch of concepts and stuff

If they even do styles
The silhouette difference is huge
i still don't like how humongous the silencer is...
Svdl set the table for tf2 silencers, you could copy him
shotgun suppressors are pretty big aren't they

Appreciate it very much
Remade the dog collar and leash for engineer:

It's going to be textured by Blaholtzen.
The collar part will be paintable.
miles you make it too easy...
Ron Paul's BBQ Extraveganza: It would be funny if there
were an alternate taunt for it where he commits suicide with the sword
driven through his chest and theres only a 1 percent chance it can backfire and
kill someone else
Merczy: lol
Merczy: i think it will hvae the pyroland taunt
So much for a seppuku taunt

This is absolutely fitting for the Engineer and not at all out of place or anything, and it's totally not you just making weird animal shit all the time :v:
miles you make it too easy...
Obviously it's for the robo-dog tenth class.

Really I just made it as a request for when I make it a mod. I added it in just in case it does get accepted or looked at and they don't like the suppressor.

In game it doesn't look that big

idk, it kinda fits with the guard dog, and I could see engi having a dog regardless.
on the other hand, yeah, animals everywhere
But engineer seems to be the kind to own a dog.
WIP part 2!

Getting to model to work with Pyro's grip will be the fun part.

He's talking about the silhouette, how it looks in third person when all lighting is removed.
Silhouettes are key to allowing people to identify things at a distance that they cannot realistically identify any details other than shape and general coloration. Compare the silhouettes of both styles, the protruding silencer poses a big change which can, in someone's head, make them assume that they are different items.
The weapons that do have styles have subtle model differences (ex Splendid Screen) or subtle texture differences (ex Flying Guillotine). To have such a stark change in silhouette as a style does not seem to fit within TF2's philosophy of identification (which is still in place to this day, only a few things have broken that rule but the rest has adhered to it pretty well).
which class is Noel going to be?
The 10th.
As the flatchested class.

Shit I meant the first person thing to be pointed at Constructor, not Pako. I understand that completely, so in regards to silhouette, see the first part of my post. D: Sorry for the misunderstanding.
As reasonable as it is for Engie to have a pet dog, I feel that he already has that kind of connection with his sentries, in a way.

I think it fits engineer as he really seems like a dog person to me, so it could belong to his dog, a dog he had that died recently or even somehting that he puts on his sentry as a joke of it being his guard dog, which i'm going to try to do so it's a misc that's worn both on engineer and his sentry. And I don't make wierd animal shit all the time.
they can
Since weapon sounds are important, I doubt they'll utilize different sounds for the same weapon.
You are a big advocate of this sort of thing, so you know where I'm getting at.
