So I can probably get away with base colors for the frame of my shades? [editline]24th September 2012[/editline] So I made the whole thing paintable, just the frame is darker.
Maybe have the one over the eyepatch a pit mangled. Or maybe pulled up.
I still think only the frames should be paintable.

I like it. Seeing the chef hat made me remember. Is that pyro apron a download? or was it just a workshop item? Pageking. Radical.
So I can probably get away with base colors for the frame of my shades? This is my current texture: [editline]24th September 2012[/editline]
Have you considered making these wooden blinds? Assuming the above is the default texture your going with, from a distance it doesn't look too distinguishable from the "Dangeresque Too?". Mocked up concept: Could be cool if you jiggle boned the blinds to shake around too when moving, seeing as they're hanging from some form of thread.
blends in with his face a lot now though
Racist. Though he has a point... Lighter wood maybe, at least?
blends in with his face a lot now though
Agreed. I thought that when making the mockup. Some lighter shades of wood might look better than what I did. But I definitely think something other than plain white should be chosen if possible to avoid direct comparison between the shutter shades we already have.

Unless I'm mistaken and you just didn't include an example image, why is the rag paintable but not the arms? It's a pretty cool item, but I think more people would enjoy painting the arms. At the top of my head, Houwar, Bloopers, and Octodad comes to mind.
ok. just doing LODs today. i think i can entertain one more item till the 1st of oct. If any of you got a fun idea that can be worn on any season, post it here.

Could work as a multiclass item for Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Heavy, Engineer, Medic and Sniper.

If not, I'll whip up some drawings, I've got some spare time between classes. [editline]September 24, 2012[/editline] Actually, I'll just draw it anyway. Better to have more reference images than less. Plus I'm still debating if I prefer to have it to include hair or no hair and the like.
Whatever happened to the tattered facewrap/scarf?
I never really warmed up to it. but you know what? that may still work. Who suggested that again?
Hey back, i was quite busy travelling @5700 miles away from home and now living on an island ^^So i'm on netbook, atm i cant model until i buy an Imac for me and my girlfriend. Anyway, the idea i had a month ago and I started was this one : Soldier Weapon with the projectiles, potatoes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65JY0tDHRhM I made the hat fitting this weapon : http://imgur.com/Sgu4X This weapon is clearly for soldier as it looks like a rocket launcher and it's also powerfull. If you guys wanna create that model it would be imo a good idea. I made this without texturing : If someone wanna texture it, then tell me and also i need to downgrade polys ;) so i cant atm. Spudgun files : http://www.filedropper.com/potatolauncher_1 basket files : http://www.filedropper.com/basket_1 I'm enjoying the sun :) cya soon buddies . Cheers.
(WIP) Model by Sexy Robot
I think the laser pointer should be placed under the front of the scope, right now it seems a bit weird for aiming for me. I also think you should rotate the back of the scope 45 degrees clockwise, to fit the Sniper's eye.
I never really warmed up to it. but you know what? that may still work. Who suggested that again?
Me..
Me..
oh. thought it was someone else. got pics or concepts for me to work on? google images are fine too.
Hey Ronin, I had a question for you last night but your friends list is full. :c

Any suggestion on how to make it reference haloween in a subtle way? i fear that it fits more the "Ebenezer Scrooge" theme when we add just the tattered look to it.
Cobwebs?
That kinda falls under that "add pumpkin logos and patterns" on cosmetics approach. It will seem obviously tacked on to the item.
That kinda falls under that "add pumpkin logos and patterns" on cosmetics approach. It will seem obviously tacked on to the item.
Trying to turn a scarf into a Halloween item will seem tacky no matter what.
That kinda falls under that "add pumpkin logos and patterns" on cosmetics approach. It will seem obviously tacked on to the item.
Yeah I figured. Hmm...what about if the mask had glowing markings on it, kinda like pack-a-punched guns in cawa-doodie
Trying to turn a scarf into a Halloween item will seem tacky no matter what.
True. Thats why i think it fit the winter themes more than the haloween season. The only way i see it working is for the invisible man but that was done last year.
Make it Gibus inspired. Raggedy and patched. What's wrong with it having a "Ebenezer Scrooge feel" to it? It's a theme that can run well with other cosmetics.
