I wanted to design a Flamethrower, but there's one question I have trouble in answering: Where does the airblast come from? Well, I think it comes from the nozzle, as the Flamethower only has one trigger, thus, the best answer I can give regarding how it works is that the Pyro turns the pilot light off just before pulling the trigger, which causes a large amount of propane to be shot out at once, and after that, the Pyro turns the pilot light back on, which would explain the delay between airblasts and normal fire. This also explains why the Phlog has no airblast, because it doesn't have a hloe for air to go though, not like it uses propane to begin with. However, if we take into account the Rainblower, Valve might have a different answer for that question. So, should I design my flamethrower with, or without a "hole" in the propane tank? I don't want to design it without the hole and then end up having "no airblast" as an atribute, but I can't really think of any way to implement a hole in my design.

You're greatly overthinking this. The rainblower is a psychopath's delusion, don't even look to it for practical design
