though Night of the living update is almost done i wanted to propose one idea, a hump (hunchback/igor) for the Pyro to cover over his gas tank in the back. Now talking to Jzeeba, the hood that some movies use for hunchbacks couldn't work cause it covers the chest, but lets say it ends at the shoulders or neck. Any ideas on if or how it could work or would anyone like to pick it up for modeling (i can texture).
examples
this was the inital idea that wouldnt work because the shawl covers the chest

now variations i think could be possible

and variations making the frayed shoulder cuffs

or the young frankenstein version with the hood that could lead into the hump similar to the first but it isn't a shawl

is it plausible
I'm stil wondering why no one has made a Beatles Haircut for the Scout

I'd say instead of a straight black, maybe like a darker brown color? With yellow or team colored 'bells' on the hat? Just my opinion.

No because it would be very difficult to rig; I imagine it being a lot of faces and difficult to LOD; it would break silhouettes, and would not work well with the current animationset. While the growth would be there, the actual hunching from it would not be, hence, awkward positioning for a hunchback.

Hot Coal Shooter.
Flaregun Replacement for Pyro.

Can we have something that isn't for Pyro? Please?

That reminds me, anyone know how BANG!'s weapon compiler thingy is coming along? I foresee me getting a lotta use outta something like that.
Scattergun reskin added

I'm afraid not, Sparkwire has claimed it.

Someone needs to make this for a Christmas item or just an item in general.
Started on a Medi gun inspired main gun for heavy:

That needs to be made.
Also, who else thinks old king coal's head to replace pyro's would be fitting for this? (Probably would look frightening though, who else had nightmares from this guy, I did when I was young)

I just think a little sizzle would be as effect and wouldn't get old real quick.
Like personally in fallout 3 the railway rifle started to get annoying fast.
You have to think if there is even 2 pyros in close range of each other firing this thing off the horrible sound spam.

How would one reload such a gun?
How would one reload such a gun?
It wouldn't, just like the Manmelter.
How would one reload such a gun?
It would flip open like the flaregun does...
but instead of loading a flare in, Pyro places a piece of coal ready to be shot.
At least thats how I imagined it.

It looks like a little Black Box has slipped in here as well.

That's a gray box.
How about something like this ?

A full simple base color and then add a "last minute" team colored paintjob at the end.
At times like this I wonder if I have some odd mutation in my brain or in my eyes but I honestly think this looks much worse.
I think having the main parts of the scope be the same color ties that part together, and changing any of them to be different makes it look messy from a distance.
If just the back-most part of it isn't painted you barely get any of it in view, if you change the front you get none from ahead and if you change the middle the color scheme gets scattered.
It having different colors from the metal of the gun also makes it look like they were picked out separatly which seems more like a picky professional would do.
And finally the fully team colored scope harmonizes with the wire, in gray the orange wire seems off and i could just as well just make the scope green and the wire black and i'd have just a slight variation of the stock color scheme/end up with "just another sniper rifle".
Hows about keeping the whole scope red, but making it that "last minute paint job" style over the whole of the scope, instead of just the end. A sort of middle-ground as it were, but I dunno'.

Maybe he just pulls on the crank for a bit to cools it off as steam billows out of the back.

That would require new animations.
Valve doesn't like new animations.
The coal however can be loaded in exactly like a regular flare.

Arg valve.
I just want something that would be eye-candy without popping in a piece of coal for .5 seconds for another shot...:v:

That's one of the main reasons that I loved Mann-Conomy and below, because almost every time, not only did the weapons they add completely change gameplay and strategy, but added new kickass animations to go along with the items.
Holy tits.

Jesus Christ.
If you don't get something in game by New Year's, I will pretty much give up on Valve.
I'd hope so. I'm sort of banking on the money i'll supposedly get from TF to buy a '60 Desoto

Gotta have one
