it should have the face of one of these
Those are designed for sculptors/artists/ect to model form off of. I think that kind of removes the inhuman uncanny valley effect that the mannequin dealie needs to be suitably creepy

chipped wood y/n
I'd probably move it though, don't like the spot it's in.
Maybe something more like these:

[thumb]http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00CMptFHVWCZcf/Male-Mannequin-Head-Y-2-.jpg[/thumb]
Just have like slight, deep indentations for the eyes, a plain nose shape nothing fancy, and slight mouth lines, or no mouth lines.
The ears....that's up to you.
You can keep with the exposed wood idea, if you want.
Older mannequins were made of wood, but today are made of hard plastic.
I think the exposed wood makes it look better than just plain white.
[SUB][SUB]and I don't really like the chipped wood idea...[/SUB][/SUB]

This wouldn't happen to be the Golden Gun from Goldeneye, would it?

Two questions.
1.Does Pyros Melee animations work well with swords
2.Is it possible to have a weapon constantly lit on fire
Two questions.

Possible answer for No. 2 - It depends, can animated textures be done in TF2? Also, since unusual effects can be applied to weapons (see Robin Walker's flaming rocket launcher), this should be theoretically possible, though I don't know if they'll actually let you do it because then everyone will want one.

He's rigged one bone and expects tf2 to simulate cloth and physics for him.

To be honest though, I'm really curious to see this model he made now. Depending on how it was made/it's position relative to the body, it might actually be possible to get it moving right with jigglebones.

The normal animations might work for a zweihander or something. Not sure about the saxxy animations.

Yeah, animated textures do work, I remember seeing quite a few using them on Gamebanana (ie: Syringe gun with an animated heart monitor on the side, Huntsman with a string that cycled through all the colours of the rainbow).

Making wings isn't as easy as it looks.

That is fascinating, thank you for that TacticalBacon. If animated textures could work in TF2, then why the heck didn't valve use them on the Sharpened Volcano Fragment and the Sun-on-a-stick? They'd have made otherwise not-really-all-that-great weapons about a thousand times more interesting to look at. :(
Each frame of animation is the size of a whole texture - proxies are far more optimal, however
Ok, thanks guys. Not too worried about everyone wanting one thing, I don't me a huge massive flame just enough to know it's on fire.
tbh i feel like it doesn't really feel like a Mannequin , maybe it needs some subtle human like features
I have a subtle face version, but I don't like it very much. tbh, I'm spending too much time on this, was just supposed to be a fun quick last ditch Halloween item, so I think I'll just submit it as is (after removing the chip) and leave it at that, it's to the point where I don't even like the idea anymore but I don't want it to go to waste

It's a Taoist charm that's intended to stop them from being complete monsters.
Here's an informative short explaining further [ not really ]
