Interesting thing: Valve are working on a way for DOTA2 to accept custom animations. Maybe once they have it all set up for DOTA2 they'll pass it back to TF2.
Dota already has custom animations. There's a few couriers they've added with custom animations (it's actually required to submit a courier). I have a strong feeling custom animations are sooner rather than later. Just a hunch. They made it nice and easy to plug n play animations in the schema, and they added those blank "user animations" files. Something is up.

AyesDef had mentioned that during his trip to Valve, they had told him that this was in the works and was expected soon, so fingers crossed.

From the promotional material Weta made, it looked like the Pyro space backpack was meant to go with the Phlog, and the Engineer goggles + hair were meant to be one item.

I mean, they even bothered to release it as an unusual, it removed the hardhat's bodygroup, it's shown as a hat in media. Seems like it was a mistake of implementation and they didn't want to upset anything by fixing it.

K, so I was working on remaking my Cow Mangler effects like I said I would and this is what I got so far. Uncharged effects. I just decided to make a small WIP release in order to let others give accurate feedback, cause trust me, still images don't do the projectiles justice at all. So here! So just, I guess go and try this out for the time being and tell me what I should do for the charge projectile or if it's fine or what. Also, I've only made the shots slightly larger than the default this time... Just try it and compare it to the old one and you'll see why.
I give up. I can't think of anything. Every time I come up with something it's either really bad, unoriginal, or being done right now.
