Emailed robin about the workshop phishing scams popping up everywhere lately and suggested the whole public not being able to link thing.
last time I told him about a workshop bug he ran it by the webcode team and they had it fixed within a day. so I would expect we'll see some of these comments slow down pretty damn quick.

I think it should be split; The hair could be a hat, and the sideburns and mustache could be a misc. On one hand, that would mean wearing the whole thing would take up twice as many inventory slots. On the other hand, it would mean that you could combine the mustache with other hairstyles and hats, and that the damn thing wouldn't clip like a mofo by default.

I think you have to export it as a DXT5 or higher under the format dropdown.

But before that? In other program there's an option to save alpha channels by any name, VTFEdit always uses the first one.
I know how to make a mask and apply it, but that alpha is always designated to a layer, not the image itself.

use more references for shape when making your engine, like this:

I'm waiting to add those posts because I need to confer with deodorant about the perspective. this is in no way a final mesh. but I'll look add making the handle more solid.

I'm the first to admit that concept I drew is in retrospect terrible, and I encourage Venezuelan to deviate from it and improvise. Correct me if I'm wrong, though, but that engine looks like it was made significantly later than the 60s. Here are some more unambiguously retro references.
