when i get spwncamped i always try to change tem to the team that has the TEAM bit in it. i dont want a bunch of idiots running around as scouts trying to destroy 3 sentries with their scatterguns
Its the spawn campers fault.
spawncamping is ok you just suck if they manage to do it to you.

seriously, if you get spawnkilled by only one demoman, then all your team suck. It's easy to break that spawncamp. just wait for someone to get out and go after him (not too close eh), you'll kill the demoman easily.
Getting spawnkilled by a entire team is sure more complicated to get out, but you kinda deserved it, even if it's not your fault.
Spawncamping asks for skill, especially as a demo. It's not just about sticky-ing the doors, you also have to get to the spawn, know how to defend yourself if someone gets out (and please, dont use the "demo is op it's not hard to survive" card.).
I didn't expect this many people favoring spawncamping.
I'll put it this way; imagine if someone was blocking your passage out of your house, sure you can get rid of him/her, but it's still fucking annoying to start with.
Also, anyone saying that people that are "stupid" enough to get spawncamped deserves it are idiots in my opinion.
Spawncamping isn't much of an issue. Let them win the round and get it over with, if your team LET them get a sentry in front of your spawn it's already too late for them anyways.
I don't spawncamp myself, but I don't mind it. It's a valid tactic, otherwise Valve would take measures against it. The general consensus is that it is underhanded, though.

What exactly are you supposed to do when you open up the door and there are 8 stickybombs? That will even kill a dead-ringer spy. The amount of coordination required to get out once there are three or more players spawncamping, and that does not take that long to acquire, is easily long enough to fill or almost fill the objective.

It usually won't. You won't get maximum damage from all of the stickies. It takes 8 stickies to kill a Dead Ringered spy, and even then there's a chance they'll survive. At least 7 stickies would need to deal full damage ((171 x 9) x 10% = 153.9) in order to kill you.

A whole team is one person?
I know it's not so hard to deal with a spawncamper if one spy can realy pin your team down for the better part of a minutes while some scoot goes cap the intel you deserve to horribly lose.
If your entire team is pinned down by one spy, you don't deserve to play

Going sniper usually works for spawn campers. Charge it up, edge out, take a guy out, retreat to safety.
Unless if it's an instant spawn server. You shouldn't play instant spawn servers.
Also, you have unlimited Jarate. You can just keep spamming it and give your team crits, making their lives that much easier.
Remember, a Sniper Rifle mini crit uncharged is about 70 health. That's about five no-scoped shots to kill an overhealed heavy.
That + unlimited ammo and health, seems very overpowered.

Another good tactic for spawn campers: Go sandman Scout. Hit someone on the head, get another ball, stun them again, get another ball, stun them again, et cetera. It's a slow and humiliating death and it makes them suffer about as much as they made you suffer.

I generally don't spawn camp if its clear that the enemy team is full of noobs. It's unnecessary and only makes them rage.
Spawn camping is totally legit if you're up against decent enemies, though. It's they're fault for being careless and letting you push them back that far.
Because spawn camping is cheap shit.
I joined an Xbox server being spawncamped on dustbowl last,
i simply went demo and fired and sticky when i ran to open doors
managed to get 4 and destroyed all the sentrys and a couple of players
it aint hard
I just love the spawncampers who kill us but don't realize that a few of our team members are capturing their point.
3 in-sync heavies with 3 medics is usually enough to fuck shit up
Demoman camping: Pyro, airblast
Dickloads of people camping: Pyro+ubercharge and a spy 5 seconds after pyro+ubercharge are out to take care of any engineer buildings.
