Eh. on the matter of the topic when I was new to TF2 Black and White were my favorite paints (this was when they were like 1 refined at most)
but then they became expensive and made it the defining characteristic of douche trader. nowadays I just use paints like Lab Coat if I want something white though.

It's shit, really. There's opinions, and then there's fact. The idea that it doesn't look shit is an opinion, and that it doesn't match the TF2 artstyle even closely is a fact. If you disagree, yeah it's your opinion, but factually you look shit wearing it.

While you are entitled to your own opinion, black and white are over-saturated, the definition of overrated, over-priced, and are just as bad as Lime and Pink. I'd much, much, MUCH more prefer if Valve would release a suitable dark grey/black and an off-white.

I asked some pro snipers and flashy hats change pretty much nothing. A good sniper has class priority in mind and at that point it doesn't matter what those guys are wearing.

Yeah, although an unusual would make you easier to single out in a group, I don't think not wearing an unusual makes you less likely to get shot.
If they see a head, they'll shoot, regardless of what's on it :v:
The fact that there is a shiny piece of pixels on your head hitbox wouldn't really change much to snipers. They would just aim slightly above your not unusual neck.
I sometimes shoot the hat, it's usually when I try to ~quickscope~ or whatever it's called, and I just go for top of the body.
You'd be surprised how many Machina beams I've seen getting fired just an inch next to my head while wearing this
