Are you sure I shouldn't choose a more vibrant neutral color for it, though? I wanted to match the coloring of the Holiday Punch.
It's up to you. Mine is painted this colour and I really like it, it fits the Holiday Punch well enough. It's especially nice on BLU.

A little cluttered, I think, but I've seen worse.
None of the items really fit a theme, but that can work out at times, when random shit just clicks and looks really good (see the All-Balcavas Bills/Doublecross/Col Roule loadout).
You've got 4 loadouts for each class, so if there's some items you really want to equip, you can spread them across these loadouts.
My advice; keep mixing and matching, you might just find something really cool.
But I wouldn't equip the Hairpiece with the Tin-1000, clipping's too bad.
Triad Trinket makes everything better.
Especially default Sniper with it.
I love The Brainiac Hairpiece, but it just clips so much with everything.
They really should make a style with the hair pointing downward.

May I make a suggestion? Instead of trying to match the color with the Holiday Punch, you could try to match the color of the Toque with the Scarf.
You most likely won't be using the Holiday Punch all the time so why not try to match it with something you can always see?

The problem with your plan is that on BLU team, the colour of the scarf changes from a dark tone to a light tone. No paint can match it on both teams.

Bombing Run and Bonk Boy look neat together. The fins on the BB clip out the sides of those team-colored, round bits on the sides of the BR perfectly.
