I guess we just have different associations then. I just remember watching a cowboy movie as a kid and seeing the protagonist greedily devouring a tin can of food after almost having starved in the desert. So I just figure it as something logical for a lone wanderer with no place to call home to stock up with.

I'd prefer it if the textures weren't so low quality. I think the default texture is half the size of the maximum.
