I'm pretty sure the Medic is at least partially inspired by [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_human_experimentation"]the German WWII scientists who performed experiments on prisoners[/URL], and I think Medic loadouts that subtly hint toward Third Reich aesthetics are fitting. That being said, Dannehood's loadout is a distasteful pile of crap that takes a bunch of real terrible things that happened to real people and reduces them to a crude joke.
Also it looks kind of terrible.
Is taking tragedy and turning it into a terrible, overdone joke still edgy nowadays?

I prefer the more... serious hats. And the Brigade Helm one is kinda silly. It's why I traded away my Noble Amassment of Hats for a Copper's Hard Top.
Stuff like the Scotch Bonnet and Cross-Comm Scout hat. Those are a couple of nice, more serious ones.

What are you talking about, it looks exactly like you'd expect a fire brigade helmet would look in TF2's cartoony universe. The Cross-Comm looks out of place at worst.

So, last night I came across the mythical racist pyro loadout, an executioner painted white and a strange 'blackburner' with the demomen killed part attached.

Nothing really too special but I like the look of them, with the exception of the soldier and Medic but that's because I have yet to get a hat for them, even though the soldier is my most played class. I have also taken the gibus off of the medic since then because it looks terrible.

I know it's not original to have some Strange with a KKK/Civil War-themed name and a "Demomen Killed" part, but god damn if it doesn't tickle my funny bone.

While I disagree with you about the Brigade Helm not being serious, I also like my cosmetics being practical looking. It's why I hate the fast learner but love the track terrorizer.

It's mostly the ironic twist to it that makes it a bit too silly for my liking. It is, after all, a fire-FIGHTER's helmet, not a fire-STARTERs.

The loadout is terrible, the decal on the clan pride looks like a sticker, why would a doctor be holding a wooden sign over a saw? The names are edgy as fuck and you overdid it to hell. Also why would you use the hi 5 taunt over the Schadenfreude? It would fit much better in this loadout. I suggest you go back to the drawing board and make something less shit.

I really think the only reason Valve is denying that Medic is inspired by Nazi stereotypes is because they're afraid that Germany would ban the game.
