It may change the silhouette, but even you got to admit: It's well made and doesn't look as bad as some other items. When I say "bad looking" I mean quality-wise.

Fast Learner is more distracting than anything, including sunbeams unusuals - mostly because there are way less sunbeams unusuals than there are Fast Learners. They should be team colored by default or something, that shining white makes my eyes bleed.

I got a Salty the minute it came because I actually wear a Greek Fisherman's Cap (grey, a bit darker than Aged Moustache but it works). I'd like to combine it with either the Toque, the Tossle Cap, or maybe a team colored brown bomber. Also, I remember when the Fast Learner first came out. One of the shitty scout players on the server I used to frequent bought it and started cock waving it around with his matching trilby (both painted Black). Fun times. One of my friend also mentioned to me that some F2P had bought the boombox and was bragging about having it, although can't remember if this happen before or after. The image I had in my mind of him running around and taunting a lot in front of teammates and bragging in a squeally voice was funny to me.

I don't really get all the hate towards other people's cosmetic loadouts. They wear what they want to wear. I like how the scarf, Fast Learner and Bills Hat look, yet I see people going around going "lol shoehorn scarf", or say that the only reason they wear them is because they're valuable. It just seems really odd to me, that I'm expected to make some brand new original combo, or never wear the stuff I like, without somebody criticizing me for something so odd. But Idunno, perhaps I'm over-reacting.

I swear, even Archimedes' hats that he listed I must disagree with, not just because I don't like the Toque (don't rate this post based on that, and don't reply, already been done), but because it looks like a fucking tissue wrapped around the heavy's neck. I remember, my brother once bought a genuine merc's pride scarf, fitted it on his sniper, paired with a brown bomber (craft number 33 or something like that) and a cozy camper #93 (he said that 93 looks like the sniper (9) with a backpack (3) on his back, but I didn't see it), and an outback intellectual #Something, and it looked good enough, but I keep telling him that he obviously can't play with the cozy camper, the merc's pride scarf threw it off, and that he was pretty bad at sniper anyways. He also got a festive strange sniper rifle, but he was too bad to justify having it, or the loadout in the first place; he never wins sniper duels, and he always gets low-powered bodyshots (around the chest), which of course won't do shit. He never thinks to crouch, either, and with the cozy camper, that means he has no means of dodging at all. He swore that he thought the CC was useful, but it certainly didn't justify the downside, when he always (and I mean always) misses heavies and such that cause the rockyness the CC prevents. It was so ridiculous. Not only that, but when he finally sold all his shit, after realizing he wasn't good enough, [I]he bought it again.[/I] And he sold it and bought it again once more. And then [I]finally[/I] he sold all that shit. Damnit I hate him. Now, he has a unusual SnS, as well as craft number goggles and headpiece, and also craft number pomson and eureka effect (I think), and he refuses to play anything but the engineer, no matter fucking what. Plus, when he's attacking in A/D, he still uses the fucking eureka effect, and by the time he's able to destroy his buildings and build more later, they've already won. He's so fucking stubborn, and for no good reason. Also he's skinny as fuck and he thinks that means he's healthier than me. I hate him so much right now.

A lot of cosmetic items it seems, namely the scarf and the Deus Specs get tacked onto loadouts simply because people have them/and or they think they look cool. That's what I've picked up on from lurking around here, mostly.

I am incapable of playing normal tf2 without getting pissed off. :l

I never said there's anything particularly wrong with that, just that's the vibe I've picked up here. Personally I once had the Deus Specs tacked onto my milkman set up for shits and giggles, and they look hella nice when combined with the Soft cap.

Everyone's posting cosmetics that I like. :< Also I don't get how the Fast Learner "breaks the scout's silhouette." Don't get me wrong, I don't like that thing either, but if you can't tell what class a Scout wearing a Fast Learner is from a distance you've got other problems.

I hate how loadouts always mess up after you switch them a few times, it's really annoying.
